Which player from the past(or even present) do you wish there was more footage of?

It would have to be Buddy Hall

I'm not aware of much recorded of Buddy in his 20's and 30's, but Accu-Stats has a few dozen recordings of his matches from 1992 - 2003, when he was in his late 40's to late 50's.

I've got to go with Luther Lassiter. Second place easily goes to Ronnie Allen.

In pool - Ralph Greenleaf, Jersey Red, Willie Mosconi

Carom Billiards - Willie Hoppe, Jake Scheafer Jr. and Sr.

Snooker - Joe Davis

English Billiards - any of the old masters, those guys were unreal. But if I had to choose a couple, Walter Lindrum, Tom Newman and Joe Davis again.

Eddie Taylor, the great bank pool player

Ed Kelly, possibly the best all around player and for my money as good as anybody at one pocket

Jersey Red ,who could lay claim to the best straight pool player, one pocket player or 9 ball

Our own San Jose Dick, who played no less than a ball difference at the most than RA and beat him several times

Artie Bodenorfer(spelling is not my strong suit)...what I wouldn't give to see him play Tony Cohan

here is a guy who might need the 5 at 9 ball and could put the whammy on anybody at one pocket

If anyone has any films oft

these guys please sell me some

and Cornbred Red,wasn't he in the same league with the best

Keith sure deserves some thought, watching him run out with all that swagger

I don't know how to compare him to these guys, but I bet you one thing,he is fun to watch unless you happen to be his opponet

then its not so much fun,it just gets worse

These are the guys I like to watch

Lost opportunities, not getting to see these guys play

If I had to pick one, it would be Cornbread Red like from the late 70's. Wish one of those knuckleheads at the Rack would have taken the time to record some of that action for posterity.

But if I can pick more than one:

Ronnie Allen
Cecil Tugwell
Jimmy Rempe
Vernon Elliott

and ANY DAMN FOOTAGE of the Jansco brothers tournaments from Johnston City

Regards,

Lesh

Greenleaf
Don Willis
Minnesota Fats
prime Jose Parica
early 20's Efren
Earl's money matches from his early days
anything Mosconi in his prime

You guys are all right. Here are mine:

Mosconi x 1,000,000. What I would give...
Lassiter.
McCready.

Mine would have to be Minnesota fats, I saw him as a kid (I was like 5or6) and never understood pool, I know he was nothing more than a hustler who ducked pros but since seeing him command all that attention I wish I had more! I would love to see the non bs side of his game. He wasn't the greatest but still interestingly good

Mosconi, of course. as pointed out, there is NO footage of him playing in his prime, and he is still considered by many who saw him in person as beyond comprehension in his abilities.

after that, Mizerak; there's at least *some* video of him, but not nearly enough. there is a little of Harold Worst, and some good footage of Crane, including the famous 150 and out against Balsis.

PS oh crap, yes, Cisero for sure!!!

Cornbread, Allen, The Miz & Rempe...
