Which player from the past(or even present) do you wish there was more footage of?

This would be my list

HAROLD WORST, Any Game

EDDIE TAYLOR, Banks

RALPH GREENLEAF, Rotation and Straight Pool

RONNIE ALLEN, One Pocket

OF COURSE ALL IN THEIR PRIMES,YEARS, except Harold which he wasnt even in his Prime in my opinion in Pocket Games before he died of Cancer.

Mike 'acedonkeyace' Kennedy

I wish there was some of: 1)Sailor Barge 2) Don Willis 3) Corn Bread Red 4) Jack Cooney 5)) George Chenier 6) Rags Fitzpatrick

More of : 1)Harold Worst 2. Wimpy Lassiter 3) Cicero Murphy 4) Babe Cranfield 5) Wade Crane (6 Pete Margo

Mizerak and Mosconi for sure. It's funny, I remember watching Mizerak play growing up, but I can't seem to find much footage of him for some reason. Definitely Don Willis too, just to see how much is BS and how much is true.

Wish there was less footage of Hoppe. Just thinking about his stroke makes me want to scream in horror.

Efren Reyes!
You can never get enough Reyes matches...
Really I would like to see more footage of Sigel and Reyes at 80´s and 90´s. Best players of that era with Earl.

Was thinking about this while watching some matches from the 1986 world title with irving crane in them. I wish there was more footage of cisero murphy. his stroke alone intrigues me and I've heard he was quite a player.

what about you guys?

Harold Worst and I saw him play several times. He was unique among players, past or present!
Also, Taylor at Banks and Ronnie playing One Pocket. These two were the best at their respective games.

I wish there was more footage of these 3... these are my top 3!!!

1. Jimmy Matz... (one of the best players EVER)

2. Willie Mosconi (very hard to find any great footage of him)

3. Efren Reyes (a lot of footage BUT like others... can't get enough of a GREAT player)

All 3 are some of the BEST players in the world... each had their own talents...
Matz & Mosconi are now gone ... Efren Reyes has almost stopped playing in competively tournament except 1 pocket... hoping one day I can meet him & shake his hand.... they all gave so much to the game of pool....

I can only think of two players I would like to have seen more footage of......some of you AZ'ers might agree with me........

..............New York and Arizona

Bugs Rucker
Ronnie Allen
Ed Kelly
Eddie Taylor
Danny D
Keith McCready
Jersy Red
Cornbread Red

I would buy any tapes of these men
playing one pocket if I could find them.

Thats a pretty good list..But you have 4 guys on there, who played about a ball under the other 4!..I will not name them, as it would probably start WWlll..

PS..I will say this..RA would be the only one, who probably could (and did) give almost anyone else on your list, a ball in one pocket..in a long session!

Hey Ducky,

Not only is it obvious who the 4 are if you were to rank them as 1 Pocket players it's just as obvious to all but the Yukon Jack soused that the thread title is "Which player from the past(or even present) do you wish there was more footage of?

This is not a ranking thread.

My two choices would be Cornbread and Lori Shampo. I always liked watching them play.

from someone should who should know

Vernon Elliott playing banks. John B.
I never saw Vernon play but he is a legend around the Chattanooga area. When I met him he was already in a wheelchair. He could make banks nobody else tried. People who knew would set up the shots and they really were unbelievable.

Denny Searcy

I would have liked to see the guy from SF California, Searcy?

A buddy of mine in Memphis was good friends with him as young kids. This guy said he played all day Saturday and Sundays growing up with Searcy. I asked what did Searcy do? He said he played all day EVERYDAY when they were kids and hardly ever went to school....

JAM - Can you ask Keith what he knows on this guy?

Ken

I've never seen ANY footage of Danny Searcy. Several years ago I posted, here on the forum, trying to find some but had no luck. I also called a couple guys that knew him well, Harry Panos and George Dowdy, but they didn't know of anything available. What a shame, his stroke tempo was really a thing of beauty.
