Who Bought Virtual Pool 4

For those who bought VP4 tell us your likes or dislikes
www.celeris.com

I just bought the PC and Iphone versions.

I really like them both. Haven't figured how to do a length of the table draw on the PC version. Or how to jump the ball yet (is that in the trick shots section?). Have to go back and read all of the instructions and manual I guess.

You can draw the heck out of the ball on the iphone version.

The iphone version was only $1.99 and the options are very limited when compared to the PC version (all you get is the ghost ball for aiming aids), but it would be fun waiting for you plane in an airport.

The cue stroke length has been updated. If you have not updated your version, just click on Check for Update on the main menu to download the patch.
You may also need to adjust you mouse sensitivity depending on what kind of mouse you have, that is in Settings/Mouse. You should set it low enough that you have control and high enough you have power. For breaks or other really hard shots the Amplify key > can be used.
You may also want/need to adjust your mouse driver if you have a gaming mouse or a more sophisticated mouse such a Logitech. These mice have a DPI rate and some even have a sample rate that can be set. It may take some playing around with both the VP4 mouse settings and the driver settings to get it optimal.

You ever get that thing to work right? I hated mine.

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

Yea, I got it working ok, but I had an old small monitor back then, and had to get too far back with my regular cue to see what I was doing. I didn't like the little cue it came with. I don't know if they are still made. If so, there may be a new improved version?

Not sure what version you have. Maybe its just a matter of setting your port fowarding. Do you have Gamespy Arcade>> if so come on and look me up screenname is JohnSlingBlade many people can help yoou get online with VP3

i dont have gamespy arcade do i need it to play against people online? i have both VP3&4

I saw the ad here yesterday and went to the site and liked what I saw. So I went to buy it and then found out it only works on PC's, not on MACs.

So what's a PC? :) I thought they went away with the dinosaurs.

I did the same thing except I didn't try to buy it, because I looked at the supported OS's and Mac OSX wasn't on there!

You would think that given the popularity of Apple products these days that software & game companies would issue copies for both PC & Mac's.

Just saying, this isn't the 90's anymore and Apple/Mac products are more mainstream now.

I'm certainly not going to spend the money to load a separate OS just to play a game, especially considering I have a real Pool Table right here in my living room.

any news on the demo? I was hoping to try it on my laptop to see if it works on this old piece of hardware, before I buy the full version.
I used to check fb page occasionally but now it is completely blank???

Vp4 runs on almost every system. I have an old pc too: xp, intel core 2 duo 6320, 1gb ram and a radeon 2600 pro.
With 1920x1200 without filters I have an average of 120fps

I agree with the mouse touch comments. I love the game though. The only other thing that I've felt is it seems the side pockets are a bit tight seems like there's a lot of shots that should go into the side from an angle that bounce out.

I realize this is pretty subjective but I keep saying to myself, yeah that would have dropped on a real table.

i really wish i could weigh in and give you my opinion on this game. i registered at the site yesterday and bought VP4 and still have yet to receive my serial # i contacted VP4@celeris.com and they promptly responded but i was informed that they are not showing a record of me purchasing the game. i wonder how long it is going to take to get a response from support@celeris.com. so far not very thrilled with their lack of customer support.
