If you can get the game lined up you can give me the 10 games and empty out. Larry Nevel is no joke on the bar table. I pick him to win.

I agree. SVB is good, but Larry Nevel is one of THE best - especially on the bar box.

Winner breaks - its a toss up.

Alternating break - bring a sleeping bag.

Yeah, I'm gonna line up the game here in east bum**** Montana

You seriously think Larry is going to take down Shane playin BB 9b

I think it's close, but I couldn't bet against Shane. Larry is a MONSTER....but Shane eats monsters for breakfast:D

On a big table SVB

On a bar box it is the one that happens to be "on" with the break...CB gets kicked into pockets with regularity on a bor box...

SVB may very well have a more ideal (Controlled) break for a bar box....just depends on the day.

I really do man. The guy breaks awesome, combos, caroms, safes. he has no weakness! He doesn't have to miss a ball for a month on a bar table.

I have to go with Shane.

Even before he started playing in the pro tourneys, people were saying he was one of the best bar box players in the world. And he is a better player on the 9'.

I have to say from watching Shane play he does have one and only one weakness and that is his kicking. He doesn't kick safe as well as the other top players. That being said the other parts of his game are top notch.

I like Larry's game. I watched him a lot in WI. All in all I have to give Shane the edge here. The Bar table will bring them closer in ability, but I can't see a player of Shane's level playing worse on a bar table. Just the thought of him being a little bit better is pretty scary.
When Shane beat Jesse a few months ago wasn't it on a bar table?

This is a very close match that could go either way. I lean towards taking Shane as I think he is a little tougher mentally than Nevel. I would much rather see these guys play a 10 ahead set or at least a race to 50.

When and where is this match supposed to take place?

I like Larry. Yes he's my friend so I'm biased, but I still think he's a better player then Shane in the long run. I think he has more talent then anyone on this planet to be honest.

This thread is pointless though because the match isn't going to happen. Shane won't play Larry. Yes, you read that right, SHANE WON'T PLAY LARRY. He's been approched about it more then once and each time has politely declined.

To the guy that says Larry can get 10 games on the wire: You find any player, ANY PLAYER, in the world that wants to give Larry 10 games on the wire in a race to 30 and I guarantee that even Fatboy doesn't have the cash to cover the bets that can be made.

I'm really surprised at the amount of people that take SVB vs taking Nevel. Shane is a top notch player but Larry won 9 of Shannon's events and placed in everyone he played in I think. Thats gin my friend. If they were to play I think it would be an eye opener.
