Joey, thanks for the reminder. I don't know how I forgot about Raphael. When he was playing a lot at Hard Times he had both power and control and was the 1st player I saw run consecutive racks of rotation. For sure his stroke ranks right up there.
 
Mike Sigel

I used to love to watch him shoot, very deliberate.
Some very good cue stick control on these stat. But Mike Sigel was the best, and we knew it.

I think some of you posters should google " stroke"....billiard context, only please.

Buddy Hall is in my top five....you could put his stoke on a snooker cue and win a title.
Buddy would want me to mention Steve Mizerak's....he admired it.

Ronny O'Sullivan is my favorite stoke of the snooker world....he makes many of the great
players look awkward.

Ronnie Allen....I saw him in his prime....he looked like a pool player on a pool table....
....and a snooker player on a snooker table ....his head would get farther from the cue ball,
his feet would spread out, and his body would lower....he beat number 4 ranked in the
snooker world every time they played on a 6x12 ....at payball....and spotted him 5 on 3
on a trap 5x10.
Denny Searcy could make a trap snooker table leak.... 10 or 12 foot.

I would never mention Reyes in the top stroke category...his genius was his shot selection
and his cue ball control.

Btw Ralf Souquet said for him Nick Van Den Berg has the best stroke in the circuit

Best strokes I've seen have came from Buddy Hall, and Steve Mizerak. Would also say Dennis Orcollo has a pure and effortless stroke as well.
 
Raymond Faraon has one of the smoothest, effortless, straightest and technically perfect stroke I have ever seen.

From a technical standpoint Morra has an amazing stroke but he lacks in power and feel compared to players like Strickland, Reyes, and others who play with more fluidity and less rigid technique. Morra is so low on the cue that it actually removes a lot of potential power and feel from his stroke. There are far less accomplished players from Calgary that I would say actually have better strokes than Morra. Heck, there are at least 5 guys from Calgary who could have easily been strong international pro level players had they committed to the sport like Morra did. Heck, Tyler Edey was IMO a better player than Morra pretty much right up to the point that Tyler quit to get an engineering degree.
