Well, the odds are in for the upcoming World Pool Championship, beginning July 2, 2005. I'd love to know who's making the odds at Stan James! Some of these numbers are quite interesting.
I wish I could provide a tout sheet, but I'll be honest. I don't know how 50-plus percent of the players listed play!
However, I do think they got the Americans players' odds a little off, and it may be a good opportunity to drop a small bet and win a little chunk of change!
Last year, my brother, who knows nothing about pool, said he saw the WPC on his betting website and asked me who I thought would win it. I had already known that Alex Pagulayan was 19 to 1 (I think, or close to it). My thrifty brother bet $2 and won. He was kicking himself, wishing he had bet more!

For my dough, based on my limited knowledge of this field, I like Italian Fabio Petroni for 150 to 1. I've seen him play fairly recently on a few occasions, and he's hitting 'em good, always placing in the money. That's my long-shot pick! Kid Delicious is 150 to 1 and may be another one to place a small wager on! I like them odds!
