Allison, Karen and Jean. In that order, not arguably. Jean took herself out of competition, making her ineligible for the top spot. As the saying goes, opinions are like a holes, everyone's got one.

Thank you. That's kind of my point. Jean and Allison unquestionably have the best career records and were the best players of their respective eras. But this is a new day and we have a whole new crop of very talented women players. Both Allison and Karen have a lot of trouble competing against them and they've tried.
with respect to all the top asian ladies at the moment, how do you even begin to rank them above ladies like Corr and Fischer and Balukas?
eye test???
I'm not a huge believer in in having to have 20 years worth of titles but fack, Centeno is a baby and has yet to build that resume, Wu won world titles at 16 and has done little since to indicate he can play at world beater level consistently
consistence is the key to ascertaining how good someone is in pool more so than most sports imo, only question in my mind becomes high gear vs duration
Ceneno and Chen are far removed from accomplishing even what Kelly Fischer has yet alone the holy trinity
I hope the top ladies today eclipse those of the past, but they're not there yet
Where to begin, Siming Chen is #1 on the WPA womens world list and has maintained that spot for a couple years now. Siming Chen has been #1 woman in the world on the AZBilliards money lists for a few years now. Siming Chen has maintained her fargorate higher than any other woman in the entire world for the past 4 years now. Siming Chen demolishes players like Karen Korr and Alison Fisher, no disrespect but she will eat them for lunch.
In fairness it is only Karen among the real women pros who plays these open events. And her results are consistent with her Fargo rating - she is good enough to knock off the weaker pros and occasionally take down a top male pro, but she can't keep pulling it off as she gets deeper in the event. To win an event like the US Open you have to be able to beat Ko, Appleton, Alex, Jayson, Dennis and SVB in succession.
With no disrespect to her game, she can't pull that off that many upsets. Neither can many male pros of about her speed. They might beat a few world class players, but not that many in a row.
Has she been competing with the men? I know Karen has, but I cant recall when I've seen SC playing in an Open event with the men.
Who knows? She lives in China, she may practice drills on her own. She might practice exclusively with men. She may even enter open tournaments in China on a regular basis and beat all the men. Who knows? If she was in the USA we would know more about her, who she could beat etc. As far as her level of play, she would be rated #10 or #11 out of ALL players in the USA male or female.
The best female player of all time is also the best looking female player of all time. Beauty and talent. Just my opinion of course.

I have to go with Corr.

Wow, if she's that good, I'll look forward to seeing her name in any of the coming world events. I hope she competes in them and shows us what she's made of. I like watching relative unknowns (not necessarily her as an example) compete against our known pros. Fun to watch the pro try to dodge a bullet. LOL.
Allison Fisher hands down. She only moved to US Pool when she was about 30, and before that had won 11 women's world snooker titles. People are saying it's tougher now that the Asians are involved, but Allison is no longer at her peak, what is she, 48 now or something?
I know...being just a bit sarcastic, but hopeful. Its such a pity that the women DONT compete in these event. They should just to buck the gender inequality stigma. Karen certainly does go deep for a woman. If what Rhea says is true SC should at least make the quarters, no? Hmmmmmm. I for one would likt to see that. Imagine a US Open woman champion! That might just make her the best woman player in my book.I doubt you will see Siming competing in the men's world events. She can make as much or more in women's events. Further, even if she's at the level of the 10th best American pro, the 10th best American pro does not have a good chance for a deep run in the world events (and if you don't have a deep run, you're losing money).
