Who is the top player in your state?

In Georgia I would still have to say Archer, even though Stevie Moore is making waves lately.

when this poor guys shoots it looks like he is going to rattle apart he shakes so much. I cant figure out how he delivers the cue tip to the correct place on the ball.

In Maryland

Yes,, Mike Davis does play great....I thought he had moved...But Keith isnt bad,,, great one pocket,,, and real good bar table player... Mike shows up in all the big tournaments....Keith gets down pretty good for the cash to...The both have good track records..... I would love bet on either one....Good thought on MIke....

Scott isn't exactly what I would call a nice guy, but his antics sure can be entertaining. Some of the childish arguements between him and Gus have had my stomach hurting from laughing so hard. I guess one of the reasons I chose Scott is because I am more interested in how people match up in my favorite game, 1-pocket. I wonder if Jimmy will ever get bitten my the 1-hole bug? He has certainly proven his abilities in other games.
There is no doubt in my mind that Scott is a great player. I am sure he is very funny too. I was just saying with the limited contact I have had with him, I was not impressed at all. I am not sure how Jimmy plays one pocket but I have seen him play all the other games and would suspect he would do just as well at one pocket. I would find it hard to bet against Jimmy right now especially the way he has been shooting this year. Also, one of the reasons I chose Jimmy was because he is not only a great all around player he is an all around nice and classy person.

Mitch Ellerman is a very good shooter as well. He just won the most recent AZ state all around stop. There are many great players in Arizona, I guess it just depends who is on that day.

The boys from Traverse city have to admit we love all the good players in Arizona

Oregon? (Or is it Washington?) Glenn Atwell...just my vote, others can disagree if they wish, but he's awfully consistent...and plays fairly...I've seen him call fouls on himself that weren't noticed.

I have to tell you our trip to Arizona was the funniest pool trip of my life
Sounds like you have some interesting stories.........do tell

Texas

When he was really playing good it was easily C J wiley. It sucks that he made so much money and found other interests. He really use to gamble high at CJ's. He was very hard to beat on his own table. I'm sure it is Jeremy Jones. Dave G. plays good. John Hagar has the potential to really shine if he wanted to. I heard he went back to school to get a degree (very smart move). It used to take a tremendous player to beat him.

How is it going Jimmy? Hope everything is good.

Hey, how's it going with you? Going okay here. Yeah, you Traverse City guys were pretty tough. Well, one of you were anyway. I don't know about the others. They must play a lot of pool up there.

I guess I would have eventually started playing again, but you guys are pretty much responsible for it. I was completely done; literally hadn't hit a ball in over 3 years. I'd say it was 5 years but I did have a couple month period there where I was busy impersonating a pool player in the first couple years that I quit. It's funny but, even though I hadn't been around the pool room at all, I must have had half a dozen people call me to tell me about these "road players from Michigan" who were in town. So, naturally, I had to come out and see what all the excitement was about. Oh, and let your buddy (the other guy who played 1p) know that I was out of quarter-pitching stroke too! :p Ha ha.

For the record, having lived in Michigan for 8 years I was fairly certain that you guys weren't from Traverse City, but it was a fun story so I went with it. :) You guys did pretty good here. It couldn't have been more perfect, I guess, with "the billiard instructor" beating you when you first got here. There's a little more action in town now than when you guys were here, to be honest. Most of it is 1p though. I think Scott moving here inspired all the locals to become 1p players. I'd rather pull my nose hairs out one-by-one.

I hesitated to post anything in this thread after my name came up because I didn't want to break my arm patting myself on the back, but thanks to those who gave me compliments. I will say this though: The weight that Scott would have to give me playing one-pocket would be too embarrassing for me to even accept. I don't play the game and every time I think I want to start playing it, someone comes along and hijacks me. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that I've lost to guys that I might be able to give the 7 to playing 9-ball. Come to think of it, I did give a guy the 7/8 (call) one time and beat him like a drum. Afterward he wanted to play one-pocket so, of course, I played because I figured this guy couldn't beat me at anything on a pool table. I was ready to find a bumper-pool table if he wanted to play that! Needless to say, after beating me with a ball he beat me some more playing even. After I take a couple beatings like that I usually quit the game because I realize that I have a lot of dues left to pay in that game and I just don't enjoy playing it enough to pay those dues.

In Washington I would have to say that former world champion Dan Louie might be our best. Really not sure though.

Even though it’s not really my state, everyone that I have talked to that knows swears Williebetmore is the all time undisputed champ in the state of denial.
