Who is winning in the IPT finals?

And Sigel never made it to the table.;) ;) Efren is definitely in stroke.

Anyone can confirm this, if he ran 8 racks he would have won the 100k bonus wouldnt he?

Thanks for the updates!

Thanks for the current score. Wonder if Mike will get a chance to shoot?

Yeah they need to post the Break and Runs, why not just put a B in the box next to the number to represent a break and run?

1st Set Report!

Mike had some bad luck with being left hard shots with his 4 or 5 opportunities at the table.

Here is a running summary:
E=Efren, S=Sigel, B=Break, D=Dry Break, W=Wet (not dry break), M=Miss, numbers indicate how many balls were potted.

Game 1:Ebw4m, S1m, E out 1-0
Game 2:Ebd, S7m, E out 2-0
Game 3:Ebw out 3-0
Game 4:Ebw out 4-0
Game 5:Ebd, S0m, E out 5-0
Game 6:Ebw out 6-0
Game 7:Ebd, S1m, E out 7-0
Game 8:Ebd, S0m, E out 8-0

Currently having a short break!

At that level ...

You can't have 5 misses on trips to the table, and
expect to win. Mike, you're not playing Lori Jon now,
you are playing a REAL Pool player.

very well said snapshot... this might turn out to be as lopsided as i thought.. hope sigel gathers his thought and score some...

If Sigel doesn't gain some serious steam he is going to look like a pushover.

Can't you see Efren looking at Sigel and saying the same thing Eddie Felson said to the shortstop on the warf "...I'm gonna beat you FLAT"

numbers?

.642 potting average isn't bad!
:) now where's that favourite fishing hat? peace

Based on the first set, I'm starting to think that maybe it's not that easy to win two sets out of three against the best 8-ball player of all time.

Sounds like Sigel had chances in at least 4 games. He pocketed at least one ball in those games. You would figure, if he could pocket a ball, he's a good shot to get out. But he clearly came up dry, for whatever reasons.

Got to wonder, though, Sigel has been one of the best finals players ever. Might just be, no matter how well he's been practicing, that it's been a long time since he has felt the pressure of a major tournament final. Let's see if he can get his feet planted and reverse Reyes momentum in the second set.

Reyes is obviously playing great. When a player of that caliber is playing that well, "mo" is might hard to reverse.

In any case, Mike has been a great champion for a long time. I hope he can make a match of it. I would not be surprised to see him come out firing in the second set.

Thanks for the play by play Colin.

Imagine how it would be if Efren pocketed a ball on every break... With the exception of that first rack, he ran out from break on the breaks he pocketed balls.

Nothing against Mike, but I just dont see how he can win...

I remember Efren playing the Miz on semi-finals at the World 8 back '95 I believe at the Riviera. Miz got to the table twice. Once when Efren missed an easy 8 ball.:D
6-0 for Efren. It got so bad, the Miz while on his seat watching Efren run a 3 pack on him says to the audience, " I'm playing bad.":D

Reyes just won the first rack in the second set, too. It's not looking good for Sigel... Maybe he's rusty. If he doesn't react the next four racks or so, I think the whole thing, for all intents and purposes, is over.

I'd like to see Sigel dig deep and put a fight!
