Since John French is not going to be on the America Radio Show, who knows and will give us the answers to:

How much was the Dennis O/Ko match really for.
Who staked KO

Steinway?
Upstate Al?
John French?
Who ever ran the PPV?
Big Ko?

I would like to know about the upcoming SVB match with Dennis before I order it.

Who is staking SVB and is it really for 100k? It is a shame that I have to ask this in a public forum, but do to recent events I think we would all like to know this!

I had heard that this inflating the purse in some of these PPV action matches has been going on for awhile now, but couldn't prove it. One reason I stopped buying most PPV and don't bet pool anymore. Johnnyt

who told you? the ups man?

The UPS man knows this stuff? Wow. Next time I see one I will ask him. I will pass on any inside info to you guys.

I have been seeing a lot about John French lately and trying to catch up on who he is and why the big interest or controversary about him.

The first thread I read was about banning him from the booth, then something about him backing two players in the same match. Then from what I understand it is about promoting PPV's hyping big payoffs that are not true and the players are involved in this scam to get subscribers.

What is the short story if possible.

Thanks
🎱

TheBook,

The short story is that John has a ton of gamble, is a little obnoxious, should probably not do commentary and is now into promoting the game bankrolling top players.

Some people want to find a conspiracy where there is none. Must be in our DNA?

I guess that's why so many on here and Facebook have gone silent lately. All that's really left to know is how deep into the industry it go's. I think many will be surprised when all shakes out. Johnnyt

I'm sorry, i haven't been paying much attention, but how deep into the industry what goes and surprised when what shakes out?

Over the last week and a half, Mr. French has dominated the US pool news, backing players in matches, allegedly both players in a match that was a PPV advertised in a certain way. Folks bought said PPV based on the belief the match was a legitimate match for $20K, and depending on who you talk to, the actual amount was for far less, and had one guy backing both players, thus concerning those who like to gamble on these things.

After that, Mr. French goes around "signing" several top players (Daz, Shaw, in addition to Orcullo and both Ko's, among others) to be in his "stable" of players. To what end, hasn't been exactly made clear.

At least that's my limited take on what you missed, between here and Facebook. And that's strictly an armchair observers recap, so take it for what it's worth

The people "in the know" are quiet as church mice. They are busy, quietly counting their money....

I'm going to play a guy this weekend for 9 million Confederate dollars against a moon pie and a RC Cola.

Who wants some of this action?

Sorry, Dennis popped a moon pie near the end of his match. So I no longer bet with moon pie users.

Why does it matter what they are playing for or who stakes them? Do you really purchase matches on that criteria?

He asked about ordering not gambling.

Yes, but many people order the stream because they have money on it. For those people, if they won't bet because they don't have sufficient disclosure, they won't buy the stream.
