L'il Al Romero used to make 'em for decent prices years ago, but I assume his prices have gone up.
 
Still 220 for a Romero sneaky. Still a great hit! Just picked one up this past weekend. awesome playing cue
 
Kevin Varney Cues give you a good bang for the buck. I've played with two of them and liked them both. I forget what the guys paid for them then, but it was a real bagain IMO. Johnnyt

Being from San Diego, I'm surprised you didn't say Mike Deli. I tried one of his sneakies and was quite happy with the hit. I ended up buying one and it has been my main shooting cue for a year now. Price was reasonable too.
 
the best deal I've gotten is a rosewood sneaky from Greg Sirca at an amazing price for the quality. I know hes done making cues, its a shame.

Truthfully, I've never hit with any of his cues. I'm basing my opinion only by my experience and for $40, players makes an awesome sneaky pete!

Mike's a great guy, but I don't frequent the pool room enough to run into him to try one of his cues out. I know that my ex LOVED the break cue Mike made for him. My friend Peter also has a break cue that Mike made and he loves the thing!

The cue I originally shot with was from another San Diego cue maker, Dave Whitsell. I loved that cue but it was stolen:( . I shoot with a fancier Whitsell but prefer sneaky pete's.

Simplicity is best:) .

Dave also makes some nice fancy sneakys. I am pretty sure he could make a good hiting true sneaky also.
Did you ever see the budweiser cue hustler he made with the uni-lock joint and predator shaft and solid black linen wrap?

Sorry, to clarify, the 1st cue I had made by Dave was a sneaky pete.

I think I did see the budweiser cue. Didn't he sell it to Steve Lyons 5-6 years ago or is it a different cue?

It's been that long? Could be. I gave him the starter cue.:)
He made a couple into toliet plunger handles for me.

i own one of Mike's cues. i think it's delay. the thing stays in my trunk year round for bar play (looks just like a house cue) fu**ing thing is still straight.
 
I hung up a $1200 Schon about three years ago to play with one of Jack Kompan's Mystick sneaky petes as my main playing cue.

$150 and you won't find a guy that stands behind his cues better than Jack does. Anything goes wrong, and I mean anything, Jack will replace it or make it right.

If you want to upgrade to one of his Tiffany series cues, Jack will give you full credit for the sneaky toward the new cue. I don't think you can beat that deal.

He also makes one of the best jump cues out there, IMO.

He's one of the good guys!

Sneaky's

I was able to pick up an Ernie Martinez Sneaky a while back for 200. They're hard to find but totally worth the effort. Good luck.

If it's the same type break cue that I bought from Mike, then I can see why they love it.

Mike told me that a customer had asked him to make a break-cue with an unconventional design. Mike was not excited about doing this and put it off as long as he could. Finally he had some free time and decided to satisfy this pesky customer. Shortly after the cue was delivered, several orders came in for the same exact design. Somehow he had stumbled on to a big hit!

He saw me in the poolroom and showed me this new cue. Then he insisted that I try it. I let him know that I wasn't the best guy to try out break cues because I have a bad break. Again, he insisted. "OK, OK" I said. I broke a few racks and he was laughing at the stunned look on my face. That cue performed better than anything I've tried before. SOLD!
