Just some races to 25-30 is enough. These guys are in the U.S for a couple months.

I would like to see one of the Ko's vs Shaw. Shaw seems to be playing at a peak level.

I think in the same 3 day period as a single race to 100, we could have a mini tournament with Big Ko, Little Ko, Dennis, and Shane. Single elim, race to 11 sets. Winner take all. That would be fun to watch. 1 match per night. Only 2 hours of viewing each night. Set start time of 8pm est on the nose. Easy on the viewer, and exciting for the viewer.

Who was the new player Frenchie is sponsoring? He said a top 7 world class player to be disclosed on fb today.

None of them are barred from playing Shane a long race for lots of money.

Maybe. When the Diamond in Vegas was at 4 1/8th Shane put up a 7 pack on it. I feel like all these players are very close. Of course your assessment is going to mean more being a top player yourself.

4 1/8 on Diamond is not nearly as tough as 4" Gold Crown though .
Shane won't gamble on those Gold Crowns at Hard Times.

Shane has improved his safety game though, by a lot since Dennis beat him at HT tournament .

Yours can't be to far behind not to many see more pool than you here and abroad

I would like to see Wu in some action also ,, IMHO there's a learning curb to these long made for streaming matches ,, ,,
I found it pretty interesting at the end of day 3 ,, they commented DO was skating around the table noticbly picked up the pace ,,,right when others said Ko looked tired ,,must have knocked down a couple red bulls ,,
I think once the Ko's get acclimated more with the longer race and the surroundings he will be making less unforced errors regardless of pocket size ,

From what I hear the tables at Hard Times have more rolls than a bakery which is why Shane doesn't want to play on them. But even if they don't I can respect Shane's decision because such small pockets tend to cut off a big portion of the game IMO. At the end they force a different style of play.

Similar to the Chinese 8 Ball, very little spinning the cue ball because you can't rely on the pocket taking the ball if it touches the rail. In pool the larger the pocket the more you can get away with unless the shelf is so deep that larger pockets play like tight ones.

I don't know though....I guess I mean no one is barred from playing Shane on a Diamond with 4.25" pro cut pockets. I don't know how Shane feels about any other table but I am sure he would consider most offers. If the table is the issue then anything easier than 4" ought to be good for anyone willing to challenge him as well. If they can run out on 4" they ought to be able to run out even more on anything with larger pockets.

But historically it's Shane who generally seems to put the most packages together when he plays challenge matches on equipment he likes. Welcome correction by At Large.

I was wondering if someone would mention DO's sudden pick-me-up. It's like he was a little robocop running around at 10x "speed"....

I guess Shane didn't like the table when Ko blew by him at CSI ,, I would love to see him play Ko or Wu on thier turf and see who puts up the biggest package .. I'll take either ,, comfortable surroundings plays a big part ,, we saw that in Russia , ya I know break box rules blah blah , but most of Shane's matches have been inside his comfort zone ,, can't have it that way all the time ,,
Just like you want Lou in yours and he wants you in his ,

Johann Chua vs Ko Pin Yi
Jeff Ignacio vs Chang Yu Lung

* Both Chua and Ignacio have not won any matches against these two respectively.

Who can beat who?

These remind me of a guy who ran around asking tough guys if they could whip another tough guy. When this one said why dont you go fight him then come and fight me you can then decide. But go to him first or you wont get the chance. Go play these guys on the tables you think are so special then let us know who plays the best .

Motivation

I would like to see Appleton, Fien and Boyles in some long sets with Ko Pin Yi and Dennis O. Shane is probably willing to play any one on decent tables.

Limiting where you can break from, no shot clock and alternate breaking are just attempts at restricting some one from using all their skills because yours are not as good in that area.

Pockets under 4.25 inches and very deep shelves restrict the strokes a player can use to move the cue ball and are not near as interesting to watch for this viewer.

Every one wants an advantage and they are all so good it is very hard to say who is the "best" since they all win and all loose.

I wonder about motivation. By that I mean is pool earnings their only income, if so then I would think Dennis would be very motivated, as I believe he was a fishermen in Pinoy land. Maye the thought of that fishing life motivates Dennis.

Ko didn't blow by him. Again, no one breathing is barred from playing Shane. Since Ko already one once on a Diamond then it shouldn't be a problem for John French to put his horse in the box against Shane.

All I said, which I think is true, is that Shane isn't ducking anyone and no line has formed to play him.

I don't have a comfort zone. Playing a giant match in front of my peers in my home room certainly is NOT it.

But I would try it anyway.
