Who was in the wrong?

Well it looks like MR loves the drama:) They even uploaded this match and gave it a catchy name:

More drama, more clicks. There's nothing better for publicity and getting their name out.

Yeah, I’m not quite sure why Earl overreacted.
I'm waiting to see what drama unfolds from Shaw being all depressed after losing to FSR, not getting out of his chair, and one word responses to questions.

Maybe they should mix WWE + Pool. Shaw slams a chair on FSR. FSR cuts his forehead with a razor.

Jayson Shaw wears his heart on his sleeve…I think he’s good for the game…exciting to watch…..no robot.

I’ve said for years I like Earl 87% of the time….this is that other 13%.
I haven’t noticed any Earl supporters mention that Earl was quick to try and throw Shane under the bus….might be his best friend of the pros.

Just caught the tail end of Earl's match with 21 year old Korean women's player Seo Seoa. She defeated Earl 5-1. After she shook Earl's hand, she went in for the hung and Earl shunned her. She was obviously elated to defeat a legend but should she have been more "professional" or should Earl have been more accommodating?
I think Earl gets a pass, she should've just walked away when he indicated he wasn't interested in a hug. She didn't, and that's okay but it doesn't make it Earl's fault.

Post the link sooner

It happens at at 29:30 and later you can hear Earl say" You don't want to touch me."

Seo stays aggressive in the hug position for a long awhile (5+ secs).

Not a bad idea. Maybe we need a thread placing the players in the “heel” category or the “baby face” category.

If we are inventing storylines for billiard pros, then when Fedor makes his entrance who will be their to counter weight that force?

What type of welcoming will Fedor receive?

The same that Ivan Drago got in Rocky IV.

Honestly that’s a testament to FSR. I get people say he gets lucky. But even when kicking there’s an approach and speed where good things can happen and bad things can happen and his intuition is Efren-like right now. Jayson put him in absolute jail and FSR reversed it on him. At that moment Jayson’s soul left his body. I never saw a current top 7 pro pool player get demoralized so brutally before while playing their best game. Jayson came back and just whacked it with a f@ck it stroke. FSR ripped all hope out of his heart. It was a fatality. Nobody can judge Jayson for being a dick. The man literally crumbled. That’s way different than Earl stiff arming a nerd trying to jump on his jock.

But honestly watch the rack when the score is 5-4. That is the most brutal exchange I’ve seen in my life. Not just in how it played out. But more so in watching the emotional reaction Jayson. FSR gave him a lifetime dose of ennui in the course of a few minutes.

the kicking game at the top level has become insanely good. kaci gave FSR the same treatment in the world 10b.

as for luck, both pool players and snooker players are obsessed with "the rolls" and players being lucky. in snooker they call stuart bingham "ballrun" because he allegedly gets more rolls than others. which of course he doesn't in the long run, and neither does FSR.

That's one of the best sentences I've ever read on this forum! :D:D:D

My other favorite was something like:

Random guy - "WTF is backhand English?"
Response - "It's what you give your ho when she starts poppin' that trash."

Earl showed excellent sportsmanship. He immediately offered his hand for a handshake and went further in commending his opponent, saying "You're better than me." Earl is a hard competitor as are all the top pros and that was as gracious as anyone could be expected to be after a defeat. The attempted hug WAS unprofessional, for a professional. This wasn't league night or the lady's tour, and Earl treated his opponent with the respect due a professional without regard to her gender or age.
