Exactly, although his comments were a bit offending, he meant no harm.....he was just being silly....banned? no way, fined? absolutely......

i dont even know the guy but i thought it was funny as hell!! just someone havin fun..nothin wrong with that..just that he was heard on the mic was his fault...

although a short ban could get snooker more headlines in uk and might not be a bad thing for game, but i doubt wsa will risk there no 1 cash cow out of the game for too long. the game is in bad enough shape as it is.

Make up your mind.....no ban or short ban? You seem to be kinda hedging your bets in the last para after a confident start:)

I didn't say anything about how long he'll be banned for nor did I even infer that I think it's 'right' or commercially prudent to ban him. I'm also well aware of his history..............I just think he'll be banned this time, for how long I've no idea but think it'll be a ban and a fine, the ban probably taking effect after the World Championship. We can have a friendly pint on a "ban/no ban" outcome if you like:)

....and on a completely separate note.......yes I am definitely stark raving mad.......aren't all of us on here?:p

Or at least he hasnt been caught....


Walking out on a match or cracking a prude joke is not anything similar to dumping....

So I think QH should see the difference

im definatly spending to much time on here
i think he has had special treatment from wsa over the years and i think they are under alot of pressure for a ban but i think he will escape again with a large fine.

i definatly got the raw end of the stick during my career from commentators and media tv/print but thats life ronnie earned is special treatment cause he is so great

not too far off imo, they take bets in the UK on those matches, how would you feel if you had money on Ronnie and he quit half way through?

You'll be sleeping right now given the time change in Oz.
I will make you a small wager that the rocket gets banned for a period of time early next season. They would never risk anyting prior to the Crucible in a few weeks time. But the WSA has to do something to appease the Chinese federation. No discplinary action and they may as well say goodbye to any future deals/sponsors in China.
We can square up next time I see you at an event, hopefully sooner rather than later. Why no more English 8-ball?? You were one of the best I'd ever seen at that game.
Give me a shout next time you are thinking of a trip to NA. You are welcome to kick back and practice up here in Canada. Just make sure you pick the right season, way too much snow in the winter.

The incident didn't even make the Chinese press. They said he maintained his gentlemanly demeanor throughout the post-match interview.
