Don't forget our very own FATBOY! Comin' out from cover after all these years. :)

I was gonna mention that Fats was there, but I didn't know if he wanted that to be common knowledge!!

:)

Russ......

That's cool to see Mark Tadd in there. Not sure if he'll ever play enough pool to get back in stroke or not, but it would be pretty cool if he did.

I didn't see any brackets on the main page as there usually are. Anyone know where they are posted?

What about previous Reno Open winner Richie Orem ?

Last I heard Ritchie was back in Alaska. Hopefully he made the trek to defend his title. I was gonna go this year but I still have a hangover from last years Saturday night with Ritche O. :D Dude knows how to party.

I searched "Reno Open #45" and found the website, but I couldn't open the downloaded file. This site might contain the brackets. If you can open the file, please post the brackets.

I don't think the brackets will be up until later today, this being the first day. Maybe they do the draw ahead of time, but I am not sure. Sometimes they don't do the draw until the first day, right before the event commences. I will be staying tuned! :p

Thanks Jay, I really wanted to make it out this year to Reno, just a little too busy working right now.
Maybe I will see you at the Swanee in January?

is the Reno Open held twice a year?

Used to be a winter and summer big table event with the U.S. Bar Table Championships held in March. Now they just do the winter big table event and the bar box in March.

Richey has started a new job. He said he didn't want to ask for time off. He has been trying to work and save money. I think pool has took a back seat for awhile.

Your telling me.

Your telling me. We were roommates in Florida for about a year! Seems like there were a lot of girls and alcohol present!:D It was fun! At least the parts I can remember!!

Basically right

But they just moved the summer session to Sacramento at Hardtimes. So basically still twice a year but not as much added money.

They do the draw the night before so that everyone knows what time they play the next day. All matches are scheduled at certain times.

160+ players

I got a bye in the first round and don't have to play until Wed nite at 10pm. So I get to sweat some matches today and tomorrow before I get to play.

Lots of great regional players from Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington State.

Shane VB went for 300 in the player auction and I left when they were on page 4 of the 6 page player list doing 1 player at a time.

More to come when I can get online.
