Probably Chip Compton or Joey Gray but Shane Mcminn is super strong too. Any thoughts??

We will be at Jamaica Joes this weekend for the 6th annual Oklahoma Bar Table Championship. This was an awesome event last year that included Joey Gray losing to Cue maker Bill Stroud!! Cant wait.

This event will be played on Diamond Bar Tables and will streamed LIVE on www.poolactiontv.com . For tickets to watch the live show online go to the store on the website and look for Jamaica Joes.

Gabe Owen used to live there. What ever happened to Gabe?

Chip would get my vote.

How can ya really tell? Chip and Joey never go at each other. If either of them has taken on Gabe it was before I started playing again...roun 3-4 years ago. These guys play well enough on a bar box that it would take days of play to create separation between them.

That said...

It is definitely one of these three!

Capital of what? lol j/k

I assume you are referring to Mr. Matlock. I would agree that no one in Oklahoma today could match up even with either him or James Walden during their hay days.

I like Joey's game much better than Chip. i know he isn't as flashy but he is the most rounded of the two. Shane is right there with them, maybe even a notch better IMO. None of them want any part of Gabe if he is in stroke

I remember Gabe and Chip matching up at Quixote's 1 or 2 years ago. If I remember correctly it was an ahead set (12 maybe) playing ten ball with Gabe giving up some weight. Chip was ahead at first, then Gabe caught a gear and took the dough. It ended pretty early I believe. We were playing league right beside them, and they might have been done before us.

Well there ya go. :)

Now if we could get Chip, Joey, and Shane to match up we could put this question to rest. I don't see that happening anytime soon.

AZB will just have to settle for watching Ray's live stream this weekend to see if they cross paths! As far as myself...I will be trying to play my guts out to hang with them! ;)

That would be great to watch, but I like my money too much to put it on any one of them on any given day.

Your games been on fire lately, you have a better chance than me! But I will be there to donate and see what I can claw out.

Bill Stroud went for $30 if I remember right. Very personable. Although not FROM Okla.but IN Okla. right now is Walter Glass. I believe bar box is is specialty but not sure. Broke his ankle about a year ago and can't stand for hours around a table so I don't think he will attend. Walter plays pretty sporty. Hanging around AAA Billiards with his good friend Kent Taylor, the owner. Staying thru December so I hear. I will box Chip and Joey in the exacta and throw in Shane in the trifecta!!

Many bartable purist types seem to have this general view. The 'flash' is just overwhelming on the little table.
