Why Dennis will Take Home the Cash!

I was on the Dennis side of the camp until I heard Scott's interview on ABR. This match is Scott's Magnum Opus...it's the hill he is willing to die on. Scott wants it more, and with players of this caliber the hunger is often what wins the match.

Bull caca mama.

Desire plas a small role in pool.

Good match?

I just hope it is a good match and both display good sportsmanship.

I do believe Scott needs this win more then Dennis does. What else does Scott have besides One Pocket? Dennis is a contender in any 8, 9 or 10 Ball shoot out.

Will that fact effect the out come. I don't know enough about either on of them or One Pocket to know if it will or not.

I think Scott will win.

If Dennis loses, it will be because of the biggest flaw in his open pocket game. I won't post it here cause I like Scott in the match  but will after they are done playing.

Watchez, just want to hear your observation anyway. Not trying to embarrass you but I am very curious because I consider you to be an expert gambler. You don't book many losers.

The consensus in the action room was Scott would out move and out smart Dennis. I didn't think so. I watched Dennis play some championship one pocket months ago. I don't really know as much about one pocket as I should, but watching him humble one pro after another got me thinking that it would take a god of some sort to beat him. His endurance and concentration is second to none. In fact, he looked stronger today than he looked on day one. The guy is simply amazing.

Let's simplify this because it really is quite simple. One pocket is a game of "I need to put the cb right here". Seriously 99 percent of the time it is pretty darn obvious where that area or spot is. And, who can do that better than the other guy in this case?

im also with dennis, think he will learn and get better during the match, also im pretty sure denis will be the better man when the pressure gets high!
hope it gets closer but about 40 - 30 denis is my guess

guess i nailed it pretty good

Good observation.
I've seen Frost have trouble keeping the "dog" at bay, when someone who can really play is shooting at him.
And I used to think nobody alive could beat the Frost at one pocket.....but then I watched him come apart a few times.
I wouldn't make a little 50 dollar straight up sweat bet either way, though..........too close, just too close. Too many unknowns.
However, I would take 5 games on the wire and someone can tell me who was my horse after the match is over. (if there was a way to dodge the air gun).

GFlash called this match almost to the number.....:bow-down:

I had no figure in mind.....but I won a few bucks.

I want to have this gentleman sitting next to me whenever I gamble!!!

For those of you blaming Scott's loss on his mental state, I wonder how anybody could fade knowing you were playing against someone who did EVERYTHING on the table better than you. Scott's mental state had little to do with this loss. He was simply over matched.

Had Scott been as cool as a cucumber he may have won an extra game or two but Dennis still would have moved those balls around and dropped them into the pockets like a world class player.

Scott missed a bunch of open shots when it looked like he could end the game.....
...they were hangers for a nine-baller....instead, Dennis ended the game.

I can recall at least five of them....that's the difference of ten games.

When it comes to specific one pocket shots, I saw better shots from Scott than Dennis.
....but I think Scott might not like getting the 7-8 from Dennis at nine-ball.

the most accurate won this contest

Scott's Take on the Match

Scott's post on FB:

I can tell you this.... IN MY 25 YEARS OF PLAYING IVE NEVER SEEN A MAN BANK THE SHOTS HE BANKED AND RAN THE BALLS HE RAN FROM CERTAIN SPOTS. It definitely effected my game on top of that their were sooo many games I lost down to 1 ball and those swing the other way the score may have been different but, "that being said I don't think ALEX or ANYONE can beat that man playing ANY rotation game for big money". He is not human

Anyone who thinks scott had a poor attitude for the match hasnt hung around him much.

He is a pretty emotional guy, win or lose.

I think he behaved quite nicly.

He probably had the fear of leonard.
