Why I am a pool hustler

I did play with the great willis reed...I still have a great jump-shot .LOL
 
i got board with it, waiting for a customer. now i play because i like to play and if there is $$$ all the better but i dont need it like i did years ago.

Just for the record, folks. This may be, Walt Frazier but it ain't, Walt "Clyde" Frazier.

When I won the Hollywood Open in 1970 I saw how easy it was have fun and get paid for it. Only won one more tournament over the next 37 years but the bars used to pay real well.

I think calling what I did hustling would be a bit much although I occasionally hustled the hustlers. Why I played pool, sometimes as my main source of income, was because the money was good compared to wages, the hours suited me, and I got to drink on the job. Something most of my bosses frowned on!

I WAS a pool hustler because I liked to play pool and I loved to win money doing it. And I was very competitive as a youngster. Pool was one of the few sports I found where size was not a factor. I loved basketball too, but I was vertically challenged.

though i was never a good player by professional standards i played good enough to win, i quoted you for a very specific reason LEARNED TO NEGOTIATE, that has made me more $$$ than anything and if I didnt spend all those years in the pool room I'd be a square trading hours for dollars-no thanks,
 
Hustler?? Who? Me???!!! No buddy, you got the wrong guy. I'll never be good enough to do something like that, and I usually never win anyhow. If you spot me the five and the breaks, though, I might try you some.
