I love this freakin' game

Everywhere I go there are more 1P players than 14.1.

I like and respect both games.

Why is there no forum for the one holers?

There is. It's a site unto itself called onepocket.org.

There also aren't forums for discussion related to 9-ball or 8-ball either. I don't know why.

I would also like to see some forums dedicated to certain geographical areas, for posting about tournaments, leagues, get togethers etc.

It would help unclutter the main forum if there were more forums of specific interest.

I know there are probably specific forums, I mean on HERE, why do we have a special 14.1 area and even one for the damned raffles, and nothing for 1P?

Because the game is so boreing no one would be able to stay awake long enough to post. :D

it's because there is a site dedicated to one pocket so mainly out of courtesy and not stepping on their toes, we don't have a dedicated forum here.

And also - having a specific forum for each subject isn't nessecarilly a good thing either.

The game is far from boring. one pocket. org has a forum that I go to everyday to learn more about the game. It is easy to match up and play in most billiard rooms. It is a game where you don/t have to have a good stroke and still win sometimes. You must be able to think in order to play. If you bet enough you will not be bored.

LOL! This is my standard response every time I hear a railbird make a remark about how boring the game is.

I agree, the last time I had to spear in a long straight in on a triple shimmed table with four balls surrounding my opponents hole for a couple dimes, I did not think the game was too damn boring:eek:

For that price, and knowing the state of my nerves, I know that I would not have even LOOKED at that long straight in shot! :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

Agreed. In fact, for example I'd say that the specific Derby City Classic forum resulted in the event having less threads, discussion, and exposure this year. IMO.

What we really need is a Sudden Death 7-ball forum...

I much prefer the old style 7 ball, where the 7 on the break was a win.

(For those who don't know, break some 7 ball racks sometime.) The back ball kisses the 7 downtable almost every time, and 30-40% of the time, it goes.

On topic, I think we have too many specific forums already, let's talk about one pocket in the Main Forum...

really??

You want the forum to be down for long hours 2 days in a row again?? You gotta be careful what you wish for!

Seriously...I think it's a better idea to allow 8ball, 9ball, 1-p, golf, etc. to be posted about in the main forum. The reason I like the main forum so much is that I sometimes learn questions and answers to questions that I otherwise might not have thought of. Sometimes those questions might be for a specific game, but the answers often help reveal more information about all the different games in general.
