Why trash the game?

There are a ton of threads on here griping and whining about the way we play this game or that game or why the break is bad. Why torment yourself over it further. Just don't play the game if you don't like it. Personally I like most games and try to learn them to where I can play all well.

I'm sorry things have changed and the game is different but either adapt or quit trying to ruin the fun for the rest of us. They now allow the forward pass and disallow the drop kick in football but you don't see players filling up bulletin boards lamenting the days of 5-2 scores.

The game has changed variously over the years. I see whining about this rule or jump cues or whatever new fangled thing that pisses off people who don't want to adapt.

Do you think that the first guys using leather tips were outcasts? Or what about that rat that discovered how sidespin affects rebound? Or how about the bastard that put the rails on the tables?

For me I'm not playing anymore except on a wooden table, no rails, no tip allowed and a mace on some shots.

For all of the rest of you guys that aren't crybabies its a good thing you can adapt to changes to one of the best games in the world and enjoy it with your friends.

ME TOO ...
I hate the jump cue because I don't how to use it ...
But I love the game the way it was and the way it is ....

Your shot,,, Shoot or shut-up ....

I think anyone under 5' 10" should be legal to where springs on the bottom of their shoes so they can dunk too. Johnnyt

Complaining, whining and gossiping are inalienable rights. People who try to stop the vicious cycle or even think it can be changed and everyone can agree or keep their negative opinions to themselves are living in a fantasy world.

Accept that there can be no acceptance. Acknowledge that knowledge is scarce, that bad manners are the norm, no matter what handicap system you use there will be lifelong losers, the games will always be imperfect and enjoy the journey!

I think it should be illegal for anyone to play (so well) one-handed.

While I agree with you about evolving, just because someone gets a wild idea that we can or should have a new rule doesn't mean it's the best thing for the game.

Sometimes people should just leave well enough alone and not always try to change things. There's millions of stupid rules we could implement to the point that no one wants to play the game anymore.

That's not evolution nor is it evolution when a group decides to change the rules and regulations of the games. Sometimes it's just people wanting to be different or trying to gain an advantage for themselves.

Just something to consider.

Hey what about us guys over 6'2" and 400+ do we get a hydraulic lift so we can dunk also???

ummm, Doug Flutie executed a successful drop-kick in his final season in the NFL, with the Patriots in 2006. The last time it had been done previously was in 1941....

It's still legal. :p

I do get your point, tho....
