"Will Pay" or Cecil is a true road player. He is a hustler in every sense of the word. He came through Ohio about a year ago and beat quite a few strong players. He beat Eric Durbin in Cincy getting the last two (he didn't need it) out of 2 dimes. Then he came to Canton and beat Chris Szuter out of 5 dimes on his own table (which is no easy task) Cecil hangs around another under the radar player named Cowboy. The both play pro speed but do not let anyone take there pictures and have been traveling for quite a while. Cecil prefers to bet on proposition shots and nine ball or bank pool. When the cash is posted not too many players will like the action.

As Huckster mentions above, Cecil as I know him is a pure blooded hustler that can adjust his speed at a moments notice. He plays really strong and likes to play for the cash. All that I can say is that he certainly is not intimidating to look at but that is what makes so many want to play him... Trust me in saying this, looks are deceiving and if you do not have your A+++ game, Cecil will knock you on your A$$ for the Cash.
If you do not know him, you won't until your pockets are most likely empty. I also found it humorous that he gave the Durb the 8 and definitely does not need it. He is found in Middletown, Ohio from time to town. If you want a game with Cecil, I am sure you can find him if you try real hard.. :D
I won't give a description but he is sure hard to forget!!!!

Joe...not knocking anyone's action but the Internet makes hiding a bit more difficult for today's hustlers!!!!

Now we all know I'm an Old Has Been BUT I think this would be exciting & interesting if we were to meet & play (say a set or 2, 3 or 4 of 9 Ball, One Pocket, Banks, Straight Pool, 8 Ball, etc.) for the meager sum of $500 OR MORE!
WHAT SAY YOU?

PS - Your dog would like me - If I were to feed him!

OHB,
I'm not sure exactly the purpose of your challenge. If it is just a friendly game between pool fanatics, then let's have at it - the pro's spot me 120 balls to 200 (and beat me like a drum). If you'll do the same, then we're on for $500 (though the gambling is in Indy or St. Louis; not Terre Haute).

If the purpose of your challenge was to in some way prove a point about your not "knocking" my friend Cecil's game, then probably you are doomed to failure. Anyone reading your post in the "Good young player from FL" thread (http://www.azbilliards.com/vbulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=8795&page=2&pp=15) and comparing it to your post to start this thread will most likely come to the same conclusion I did, whether you beat their ass at pool or not (editing or deleting one of your posts would probably be far more effective than drubbing them at 9-ball).

If the purpose of your thread was to start some action with anonymous internet posters, then TERRIFIC (your game must be STRONG). Come on over to Indy (not Terre Haute), and I will arrange/back (my backing is much better than my playing obviously) some games. I feel strongly we can get you an opponent for $1000 a set (race to 5) 9-ball (9 ft. table, freeze up $5,000); $500 a game 15 ball bank pool; $500 one pocket (race to 3 or 5); and $500 a set 9-ball (barbox, race to 5). If any of these games interest you, and you are willing to play anyone/everyone even, and you have some dates in mind (just before or after DCC would be good) I can try to coordinate a visit.

P.S. - If we don't get together, then perhaps you will enter the Drivermaker Holiday Invitational; we would all like to see how the better players perform.

P.P.S. - I STILL enjoy your posts. Have a good holiday season.

Here is where the challenge started - Your Quote !

"but if I'm passing through on the gambling trail I'll certainly look you up. Sounds like I'll probably regret it, but you can't win if you don't play."

Williebetmore - This is a direct "copy & paste" from your posting on this subject.

I know my "Handle" - "OldHasBeen" on this site is very true and accurate. I guess I was just hoping yours was also.

Why would I go to Indy to play even with a current good player when I can stay here and get Huge Spots from 12 to 15 players everyday? Many here give me "The Break & Ball In Hand" playing 9 Ball for $100 to $250 a game. I am thinking of making them fill out a w2 form and put them on the payroll of my business.

I can go anywhere, anytime and also be productive in business as long as I have a weeks notice so I can run an ad in the local newspaper for a Sales Rep. That is what I'm doing next month in Louisville.

Like I have said, I thought you were offering a challenge TO ME.
If so, lets go. If not, here’s wishing You & Yours - All The Best That Life Has To Offer.

i like those numbers will

i like those numbers on some of those games. and like you my backing speaks louder than my cue. i would be willing to set up some actio with your player at a few of those games. drop me a message and maybe we can talk.

OHB,
Oops, my apologies, I thought you were challenging me in the first thread where you were asking about my name. I'm POSITIVE I am not in your class as a player, but I have always enjoyed your posts. I am hoping to be through St. Louis this Winter or Spring, and perhaps we can get a friendly game for whatever stakes you feel reasonable.

Williebetmore - I think you have it backwards!

"Williebetmore or not" - Here is the "Copy & Paste" quote of what I said about "KNOCKING"

"There is only one thing worse than a welcher & thats a KNOCKER. At least the welcher is taking a chance on getting the crap beat out of him".
TY & GL"

"I was not asking anyone to knock anyone. I simply was wondering if this might be some new young star coming up".

Keep in mind that if by starting this thread, my intention involved KNOCKING - I wouldn't have been on the KNOCKING side, but on the recieving end of the KNOCK.

Hi Folks,

Here is my take on our "friend" Will. He takes advantage of one of the most basic human characteristics. GREED! Once you've seen him, you'll understand. He makes you think you can't lose. But you will. Again and again! I don't care what the game is, you will lose. If you are fortunate enough to break even, it can be attributed to poor research on his part. I've not heard of him take a game he knows he can't win or his opponent has even a chance of winning. He is a hustler of the highest order. And thats a compliment to his ability. I forgot to mention that he is a really nice guy. He is only doing his job.

Dammit! Is that 'Will Pay" or "Will E. Betmore"?

And, I knocked my wife up. Does that count?

There ain't gonna be a shootout at the Ho-Tay corral. It was just a sudden testosterone spike brought on by some extra holiday egg-nog to a couple of geezers. They're back in their ezchairs now trying to keep warm under their blankies. You'll have to take care of that score yourself. Willee-GET-More is just wondering if he should change his name to Willee-GET-Any...maybe we all should....Merry Xmas.....Ho Ho Ho

D'maker,
TOTALLY FALSE AND LIBELOUS (ie. too close for comfort)!!! Actually I just ordered a new BreakRak from Ceebee (in anticipation of playing some 9-ball), and I'm hoping people will soon be referring to me as Williebreakmore.

Hell, 1, there are big scores to be made in every town, all you gotta do is just give up the NUTS.

You must have made this post BEFORE I spilled the beans to your little lovely about what you were REALLY going to spend and do at the DCC.

Why didn't you just ask me about breaking better, I would have told you what to do. Just spend a few more of those hard earned bucks on a Sledgehammer. (I ain't bullshittin' either) KAAAAAABOOOOOOOOM!!!

9 ball?? Oh boy...you're going down the road to damnation. You should stick to 14.1.

Everyone I've talked to, pros and venders as well as good friends say the sledgehammer sucks.

Have gone thru half a dozen break cues. Got a Rick Howard Mace back in the summer and truly believe I have found what I was looking for.

Then again, the two best cues in the world are the one you just got rid of and the one you're fixin' to buy :D

Later, Pel
