Played Dennis with the 3 out and didn't win .... I tried tho ! Also played Efrin 136 and lost in 1992 T CJ billiard palace . Don't worry but I'm not scared of losing or winning.... I'd rather lose that do NOTHING
Copy that! I played Efren at Hard Times getting 11-6 and the break...and lost. Next time it was 11-5 and the break and we broke even. He didn't want to play me after that.
I often play Dennis Banks for dinner. He gives me 5-4 (race to three) and I never win, except once or twice. That's cause for celebration when it happens.
I made a lot of bad games in my life, mostly by playing better players even. But I don't regret it. I had to play my absolute best to keep up and it helped make me a better player.
Another old Oklahoma buddy of mine. Randy would come out of the weeds once in a while and sneak up on some poor unsuspecting soul. :thumbup:
Dick has kind of fallen off the pool map so to speak. Maybe he moved to Thailand or who knows where, and has a beautiful young wife and a new life somewhere. Best of luck to him is all I have to say. Dick was all right in my book!
Plus he was a champion level pool player, right there with the top guys of his time. He would give all these present day Straight Pool champions fits in his prime.

Thank you sir .... I'm just honest and didn't mean any disrespect. CJs Billiard Palace was tough in the early 90s . Road players everyday , people trapping people heck it's just how they raised me I guess . Lost every check I earned laying floors but I learned how to play and how to lose and win . BOOT CAMP . Johnny Ervalino , Ronnie Allen , Nitty Benny , Tony Watson . Old or young they all taught me one thing or another.... Quit for years and raised a family and now almost 50 I'm back playing. I'll admit a lot has changed and I'm learning the new ways . Just gonna take me a while I guess

Jay gets sensitive if anything is ever said that is not glowing regarding Filipino players.... he will want to have one of them beat you... unless you are SVB... jay has tried that a few too many times and is way behind for trying so..... that also explains why he openly roots against SVB.

I really miss all the woofing from players trying to drum up action. I never see that anymore.
Even worse, I rarely get action "I CAN HANDLE" these days. Everyone and their grandmother beats the chit out of me.
It's a good thing I'm broke or I would lose a lot of money.....

You must have missed a few things, to be fair. Everyone thinks it’s a no, nobody really knows for sure.

I don’t believe he’s doing the retirement thing because of the money. He’s gotten old and the grind takes its toll. Traveling to the US is the longest trip for him. And Derby for sure is the biggest grind. I believe he’s curbing his Euro travel as well.
Same. The last time I saw Earl there was several years ago. I don't expect him this year. Johnny does usually come for the 9 ball. I do usually see Nick there, but I don't think he's playing.
