Will Mike Surber Ever Get Justice ? ? ?

did my small part

Sent a letter to Governor of Mississippi requesting assistance getting justice for Mike Surber, hopefully he will get involved. Thanks to JAM for providing address.

The more Mike Surber's name gets out there, the more likely it will be to achieve justice for his senseless murder.

Keep his name out there in the forefront by contacting anybody you can, police, governor, congressmen, and media. This is one way to keep the case from going completely cold and put on a shelf.

It's a long shot,,but if everyone does it it might just work out. It sure will not hurt anything.

Anyone know of a site that shows mugshots for different states?? He has been in trouble before,,I'm betting. If looking through them ,,he is there. Problem is,,,just imagine how many pictures there are.
Since we don't know what state he is from. Could be anywhere that he grew up,,,and the most likely place he is pictured.

I would spend some time looking.

It is as I imagined,,there are 1000's and 1000's to look through in each state.
I will give it a shot.lol

I wonder if any police agency has used a face recognition program to look for him? In these mug shots??
If not ,,,this is something to push for. Let the computer do the work!! It still might come up with 1000's of suspects,,but that list is something that can be looked over.


Did the guy speak with a accent?? That could narrow it down a bit. You don't get one of those overnight.


I will look through MI. With 49K to look through it will take me a bit of time. Who has Ohio???? Texas?? ect??? lol

It's a new season, summer of 2013.

Mike Surber's murderer is still on the loose (assuming he's not in jail for some other bad deeds).

All who knew him say Mike was a great guy.

Mike Surber deserves justice so please keep the heat on the authorities to put this case back on the front burner.

"Supposedly" he had a southern accent. He was for sure, a very convincing fellow as most sociopaths are inclined to be.
 
I have heard said that facial recognition Software cannot be used on an average security video. You would think it could be set to help a little bit-throwing out guys with big wide chins and pug noses at least. Clearly you can gain a rough head shape from the video

In fact has anyone ever heard of it finding anyone anywhere wanted for a crime? I believe Vegas casinos have used it successfully but that's all i have heard of.
 
Just saw this Wanted Poster. Imagine this guy with a goatee on his chin and his hair pulled back. Could this be Mike Surber's murderer? I see similarities.

Wish I could see some, but I don't..Also, at 5' 5'', he is way too short... Lets hope they keep looking !

The height of the suspect is "guesstimated." It is not an accurate reading like this poster is.

I would like to ascertain what vehicle the suspect was driving at the time.

GulfportDoc could look at this photo and know one way or the other. I am going to send it to him. He saw that guy up front and close.

Anythings worth a shot Jam..I was going by Doc's hgt. est. of 5' 9"...He was certainly taller than Mike. (according to Doc)

True dat. That is evident in the video footage. How tall was Mike? I'm not sure. :confused:
 
To me the guy in this mugshot looks like a dumbass.

The images of Mike Surbers murderer, to me, show a slicker-looking con-man type.

who has the tech skills to put the two side by side?

Funny that you should post this today, Jennie. I was thinking of bumping this thread since hearing the awful story yesterday of the 88 year old pool playing veteran who was beaten to death in Spokane.

This investigation is all about Dollars, and Cents, and the Police Department Budget. Has this been some big time Federal Employee killed on the job the resources would be like a bottomless pit.

Sadly this little Police Department looking for this suspect don't have a money priniting machine.

One thing for sure is they are really not trying to find this scumbag, they found the bombers in Boston in just a few hours but that was a high profile case so they felt compelled to solve it. Obviously Mike's murder not deemed important enough to solve which is really ashamed because Mike was a super nice guy.

Now let be fair, how many were killed or injured in Boston? Was it not thought to be some sort of Terrorist Attack, and I am sure there are both BATFE, and FBI Offices in Boston.

Comparing Apples, and Oranges.

unfortunately, Gerald, I agree with you, 100%.

does anyone have contact info for the detective who is supposed to be on this case?

I know there was supposed to have been a change awhile back.

with that contact info, we can at least let them know we're still expecting this case to be worked hard until it is solved. maybe get an update.
