You'd never hear from me again if I won the WSOP (unless I decided to have phone service on my island)..... :)

( Good Luck to Jay )

Edited to add: I'm leaving now for the local poker room and I plan to BUST THEM today. They're having .77 beer and .77 hot dogs. I may also go to the monthly 10ball tournament at Hammer Heads afterwards...

That would be Derby Lane? Johnnyt

Conditional good luck

I also wish you great luck BUT on the condition that you stay here and keep writing here and keep involved here.

Don't get no ideas of taking Norman Chad's place either....

Good Luck Jay!

Take the Bracelet home!

about 4 or 5 weeks ago i met a guy sitting next to me on the plane from la to vegas, and the guy who own Corum watch company in Switzerland, was sitting next to me, i commented on his watch and we started to talk for the whole flight. his company made the braclet for the main event, i didnt know that during the flight we talked about watches, then when we got off the plain and out of the tube he said "wait and look at this" we had been talking about watches-another hobby of mine, anyways he took is carry-on and opened it up and handed me a what looked like a watch box, I thought just to show me another watch-I opened it and it was THE main event braclet, I couldnt believe it, I asked him if it was a proto type to show the WSOP orginizers at the Rio, He said "no, its the actual braclet the winner will get not a look-a -like but the one and only WSOP main event braclet" it was heavy and had lots of diamonds, I couldnt believe it, that was a very cool chance meeting-the watch he was wearing was worth about $35,000. I have his business card and goolged it and he was on the square, small world.

if i get to see it again i'm in tall cotton, GO JAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck Jay!

Anyone know how many entries this year (Main Event) and what the winner receives? 7 or 8 Million?

Good luck Jay ! I stayed for a week in Vegas and played event #49. I hope you run much better than me, I busted out on 2nd level... We're expecting to see some pics of the bracelet within two weeks ! Snap one of the dough as well, it's almost as impressive as the bracelet ;)

thats the out running the nuts, i hope he wins it like that. since he is staying at my house i'm going to charge him rent based on how he finishes, this could get juicy. :D

jay can play poker, if he gets past the first 2 days and is a middle to big stack he has a great chance of cashing, the first 2 days you have to fade 4-Q off suit all in kids, once they are out-if they dont suck out on you, then there is a good shot for poker players to cash/win.

He is buying a cue from me --- I just haven't decided how much weight :D :D we are talking about.

First of all, you guys blow me away with all the good wishes. Unfortunately, a set of Kings over my set of Queens sent me to the rail last night. The flop came K,Q,3. I had a Monster! He made a smallish bet to me and I raised him. He hemmed and hawed and then reraised me, and I put him all in, fully expecting to see A,K. He showed me K,K instead.

I thought about it afterward, and there was no way I could get away from this hand. Any poker player probably knows this. Oh well, I won a Satellite for a $1,000 Second Chance event tomorrow, so I ain't quite dead yet.

They only had about 5-6,000 players this year for the Main Event, considerably down from last year. Probably due to the fact that they didn't get nearly as many players from internet sites this year.

I did hear about the shooting at New York, New York. All over the news here. Luckily some military trained guy and a couple of off duty cops brought him down, when he was reloading. Otherwise, they may have been many deaths.

Thanks again you guys. As they say in Brooklyn, "Wait till next year".

Thats just sick Jay! you are right there is no way of getting away from that hand, get 'em on the second chance!

Tough break Jay! Noway to get away from that hand. One of the unluckiest hands in poker. Set over set on the flop. Sick. Good luck in the 2nd chance event.

Good luck in the 2nd chance event. I hope you get the "nuts" every hand.
