Women's 14.1 High Run Competition for Cancer Awareness

I was doing Allison's website back then and I remember asking her how long she spent working on her straight pool game, leading up to that event. She responded something along the lines of "I hit the balls around the table for about 15 minutes". :)

My Over/Under on Emily's high run is 70. Those other top players made it look so easy. Mortals will get more frustrated playing for hours on end, even considering the same table setup. I'm impressed she's willing to give it a shot. I'll check it out.
I know her game very well and she is not capable of breaking 50. I would be flabbergasted if she did.

That's kinda a bad comment Pal. This is a Charity event to raise Cancer Awareness and Emily is playing in memory of 2 Family members she just lost to Cancer and you make a comment like this to attack her capabilities. Shame on you really.

That's a fair point, I shouldn't have commented on her actual ability.
I personally think the event would have more credence if it wasn't marketed as a player trying to beat a true American pool legend's high run, but that is just me.

I wouldn't sweat your comment at all. If we can't talk about pool players capabilities here, then where can we? Yes it's a charitable-type event here but we are talking about a high-run challenge.

I figured my o/u was high. I would have taken the under. Maybe 50 or 45ish was the correct line.

Guessing what pro players can and can’t achieve is standard fare on AZB but it should always be done respectfully. I have barely ever seen Emily play 14.1, but I wish her every success. Jeanette set the bar pretty high, but I truly believe we will have a new women’s world record within a year … and Jeanette will be as happy about it as anybody!

I didn't get a chance to check out out day 1 but I will for day 2. I don't think the answer of what was Emily's day 1 high run was ever answered. What has it?

The Black Widow 14.1 High Run Invitational starts next Wednesday, July 5th, at Street Lights Billiard Academy: https://vfoundation.donordrive.com/...norDrive.personalCampaign&participantID=12866

Over the course of the next year, 20-25 Women from around the world will be shooting for a 14.1 high run to help raise cancer awareness and potentially beat Jeanette "The Black Widow" Lee's world record 14.1 high run of 152. In addition, there is a prize fund as an added incentive for participating players.

Our first player — shooting July 5th and 6th — will be WPBA touring pro, Emily Duddy, aka, "The Billiard Bombshell”. A free live stream will be available at The Legends of Pocket Billiards

If you would like to show your support you can make a donation or “sponsor” Emily, with a $1 a ball donation for her highest run. All donors and sponsors will be acknowledged during the live stream. You may also buy a raffle ticket at The Legends of Pocket Billiards for a beautiful Volturi case designed to commemorate this historic event. We started with 40 tickets at $50 per and at this time 22 raffle tickets remain available. The drawing will be live-streamed when all tickets have been sold and the case will be immediately shipped to the winner (USA only). All proceeds of the raffle will go to the prize fund.

We expect this event to continue for one year, with players shooting on our live stream for two to five days of high run attempts and already have numerous top and up and coming women players lined up to participate.
