WORLD 10 BALL CHAMPIONSHIP (28March-1April2022), Las Vegas, Winner $60K

Whatever they all had in mind when they put this event together, this method of seeding just hasn't worked.

Four of the top 12 based on Fargo are Kaci, Sanchez-Ruiz, Shaw, and Van Corteza. Wouldn't you know it that in the round of sixteen, we'll lose two of them, as Kaci has drawn Van Corteza and Shaw has drawn Sanchez-Ruiz. It's looking less and less likely that the final will produce a matchup between two of the game's giants, which is a shame for the fans. Fargo #10 Biado has drawn easier than the other four, but we'll lose at least two and maybe three of the top five remaining players.

On the other hand, though, the CSI/Predator events have been set up to make sure that nearly all the money ends up in the hands of the elite few. It's nice to see that at the World 10-ball, everything is now set up for some deep runs from those with lesser Fargo ratings, as just six of the World's top 50 based on Fargo have reached the round of 16. At the Derby City 9-ball, the last event having a truly elite international field, (Filler (831), Sanchez Ruiz (822), Garcia (797), Shaw (822) and He (801)) were the last ones standing and they had an average Fargo of 814. At the 2021 International 9-ball, the last event prior to the Derby that had a truly elite international field, the last four were (Ouschan (817), Orcullo (821), Van Boening (828) and Aranas (803)) and they had an average Fargo of 816. At the last major before that, the US Open 9-ball, the final four (Biado (815), Yapp (814), Orcullo (821) and Oi (806)) had an average Fargo of 814. Don't look for a final four as strong as we got at Derby City 9-ball, the International 9-ball or the US Open 9-ball, for the door is wide open for Cinderella here.

On the bright side, this may offer a kind of excitement we don't often get at major championships and we could possibly get a champion, or at least a finalist, from outside the Fargo Top 50. It's not what we're used to at the majors, bit it should be a hoot!

Good luck to the last 16.

The problem is that link only shows the first 3 days, and you can't move the screen to the right. It may be just a Firefox problem, but it's still a mess.
Try a different browser that shows the scroll bar on the right, so you can fully navigagte the entire chart. Best

It's working fine for me. Just scroll all the way down the brackets. The winners side is first, loser's side next, then the final 32 bracket at the bottom. At the very bottom is a bar allowing you to scroll right.

Got it, and thanks.

Pehlivanovic, who won the gold at the European 10-ball Championship just weeks ago, is not to be overlooked. He's undefeated this week and so is the guy who won silver, Szewczyck. Sanchez Ruiz and Darren Appleton are also playing well, as is Maciol, who has already beaten Woodward, Babica and SVB.

Four of the favorites left have drawn each other in the next round, as Van Corteza plays Kaci and Sanchez-Ruiz plays Shaw. We're starting to build to a climax.

Nice thing about this event is that the last 16 all get a good payday ($3,750 or better), which is in contrast to the usual in ten ball, where, as Darren Appleton has noted with exasperation, only the top 8 more than cover expenses in the CSI/Predator events.

I like the other guys Sanjin , Wojciech and comeback kid Appleton to win or at least get in final. Wojciech has been around for so long but has not won significant outside Euro. One thing I am sure is Kaci will not win- cos no one has won back to back World Championship since Earl 30 years ago. So the winner will be someone who has not won before unless Appleton has something to say about that
