World Cup of Pool 2014(Portsmouth, UK) 23-28Sep (9ball Scotch Doubles) Winner $60K

:D Philippines was lucky to win that match. Fortunately, Corteza saved the day with that incredible last shot!!! Though they are not playing up to par, I still would not count the Philippines out yet. Both players have the tendency to play great once their backs are against the wall. Or maybe they 'just got lucky' this time.

This break rule is ridiculous...

If you don't want people soft breaking, use a friggin' break ap and say it's an illegal break if they break below 19 mph.

Good finish by the USA with a BNR to win 7-5. Earl needs to break better if they expect to win.

Team Philippines was lucky to have Lee Van, pull out the win for them !

That reminds me in the final game last year Dennis played horrible shape
from the 8-ball to the final 9-ball and was once again lucky to have Lee Van
make a clutch shot, when he should have had an easy shot on the 9.

WOW! Two whitewash wins by Finalnd so far, can they do that to the Philippines in the quarterfinals?

Does anyone else think the Diamond is on the slow side? I have seen most of these players stroke over the years and to me it looks like they have to pound balls that should only need a medium stroke for on most Diamond tables. The cloth is Simonis, so either it's not stretched real tight or it's very humid there. I'm going with it's humid there. Johnnyt

 Exciting match between Qatar and Austria. Qatar maybe the dark horse of this tournament.

Finland appears to be the team to beat. Just hope they did not peak too soon. Good as they are, I do not think they can beat Philippines 7 to 0. Dennis and Lee Van may not be playing up to par, but I would not count them out yet. They are still capable of beating any team once they get their act together.
