World Pool Masters-Live Streamed

He just lost his concentration after the three shots before that. Took the shot for granted and hit the inside point. We've all done it, just a tough situation for that to happen.

If that other guy could have made a ball on the break, at all, that match would have been over earlier.

100%, he started hamming it up (as usual) just before the shot on the 8.

It was interesting to see how stoic Liu was during the match. Won and played with class.

They're done with matches today. From now on its PPV, but
there might be mirror sites to watch free.

They are NEVER told about the event. League owners don't care and don't help the sport. They never helped TAR to my knowledge advertise and they were part owner.

No Mass Emails
No Banners
No stickers

Want the industry to work with one another and it never happens. A ton of resources and modern technology to send out a mass email to members about pool events on TV or the internet. It is just a nice thing to do. But, nothing even though it takes, so little time.

KD

great analysis

My Diamond and every other Diamond I have played on acts the same, shiny balls, slippery cloth, hot lights, and boisterous fans will make no difference. When hit with pace the pocket facing is your friend not the pocket points.

That shot is exactly the kind that doesn't go on a diamond but falls easy on a Gold Crown. That 8 never left the shelf. When Boyes sticks to his routine he's tough he flung about 4 9 balls in from distance with pace off the rail. He doesn't have a cueing problem at all I really believe he played it like that and some inexperience of the equipment got him.

For the record the other guy played like a machine and deserved to win, he really has to figure out how to make a ball on break though.

Yes, he starts to drop balls on the break, and nobody will beat him. That 4 ball cut was just sick. Straight Shootin Sum B*****.

Youtube tells you the amount of viewers, and it's actually shocking that only 1k people watching a free live stream of the world masters.

A guy streams online computer games gets 36k+ live viewers on a website called twitch and all he does is play online games and streams his monitor to the audience, it's rather disappointing.

And then people ask why pool doesn't have money, well here's why, something is wrong if only 1k are watching a free live stream, i just duno if its the game or the rules or what.

Recent gaming tourney "The International" had prizemoney almost $20 million and top prize $6 million+
For longest time, gaming had critical mass of players. Now recently we find there are also humongous spectator numbers with Google trying to buy this twitch site for $1 billion. So big win big population of players and spectators

I'd be surprised if 1% of league players knew who SVB is. Only half joking.

True. Likely more players than spectators :)

It's only 19 bucks for the whole weekend... Thank the industry for producing some top quality pool coverage by paying for it, for goodness sake.

Well said. Matchroom productions are always superb. It's dirt cheap for what you're getting. A recommended purchase for sure.

I'm mot here to explain my philosophy on this issue. I have my reasons. The only ppv I would get is one that would pay the people playing on the stream 3 way with the streamer.

Asian tournaments live streams for free with tv camera angles in supper HD with the BEST players in the world on stream.

You want to pay matchroom sports for the stream go ahead but don't tell me what to do.

Lol, they are paying out every player.

They are paying them $2,500 even if they go out immediately.

They are paying that because people are buying the stream.

Your argument is flawed, but nice try.

Waleed Majid 8 Darryl Peach 4.

Majid advances into a quarterfinal against SVB. Majid talented, shoots pretty straight and plays pretty good patterns, but his speed control is only OK and his defense and kicking are not as good as they might be. Waleed might well be a big star of the future but I'm guessing he doesn't yet have the all-around skills to snap off something big. He's one to watch for sure.

Then again, SVB was way off form vs Morra, so the quarterfinal might be up for grabs.

Ko prevails in a defense oriented rack and we're at 2-2. Interesting match so far.

We've had the first major fluke of the match,

After hooking himself on the three ball, Gray kicks at the three, which caroms off two different balls and falls into the side pocket. It sets up a runout and Gray leads 4-2.

Gray, however, has scratched on the break in rack seven.

Ko Pin Yi fails to clear, forced to play a safety on the five. Plays it well but, after a solid kick by Gray, is not up to a tough chance on the five in the corner. Gray clears for a 5-2 lead and has been the better player in the match so far.
