World Straight Pool Updates from New Jersey

know what's awesome LOL? Losing 150-3 to Corey while looking around at every other table and seeing 70 innings each hahahaha. Corey ran 97, which was bookended by two horrible rolls by me. I missed one tough break ball when down 121-3.

Oh also having to listen to Corey complain that balls are skidding on him (when they're still going in).

Sorry, I am on raging tilt right now LOL.

Corey seemed to play best when he was scared of his opponent so take some credit for scaring him into dead stroke!! LOL

You ain't out hon! Keep fighting!!

It's OK. You are officially a top flight player now that you have a nickname. For those of you not at the event let me introduce Steve "Patterns" Lipsky.

You've got another barrel left. Torture a couple people and you'll be fine.

The morning matches are over:

Schmidt over Maidhof
Harriman over Sigel
Babica over Hopkins
Chavez over See
Dechaine over Hunter
Engert over Stepanov
Souquet over Facquet
Deuel over Lipsky

The most electrifying match was Hunter vs Dechaine. Hunter made a breakshot leading 140 - 95 but managed just three more. Dechaine got up and ran a very pretty 55 and out to steal the match that had looked like a lost cause, 150-144. Also, Huidji See came from way behind to grab the lead over Chavez, abut 130-125, but Chavez pulled it out in the late stages of a thriller.

Next round in progress scores:

Immonen 38 Ouschan 27
Daya 55 Jentsch 55
Hundal 74 Archer 10
Barouty 47 Ortmann 7

Wow very impressive for Mike, always thought of him just as a 9ball player.

After the dissapoining TAR episode I am glad to see he is doing so well. I really am impressed is is holding is own and then some in this.

I agree. I saw him down a few bucks to Mitch Ellerman the other month only to watch him claw his way back to even. Didn't even know he was a straight pool player. Congrat's for some big runs in clutch times. Beating Hopkins in pool play as well.

Did Dechaine match up with Hopkins, or did they only play in the tournament? Dechaine is putting on a great performance.
