World Ten Ball - Will the show go on? Will it be cancelled?

One more thing that I'd like to remind the BSCP/RAYA/PBDF/STAR&Associates folks is to not forget to pay the entry fees of the Filipino Players that are joining the Qualifiers. Last year's WPC had 50+ Filipino Players vying for a slot through the Qualifiers and 95+ percent of those players' had entry fees paid for by the BMPAP Founders/Managers!

Sorry, my post was meant as tax exemption.

Taxation on this kind of events is also under the discression of the Sec. of Finance.

I did see the "exclusion" word. I understand but not according to my Internal Revenue friend. Just didn't want to mention anything until someone does.

Taxes are levied on Promoters income, that's a definite. Players too will have their winnings taxed less fees collected by the Immigration Dept.(Special Working Permit Fees), aside from other tournament related expenses.

You have to remember too that a major part of the supposed prize money is Government Money coming from PAGCOR and Dept. of Tourism so tax treatment may be different. I think they may have to come up with private corp money instead. I heard that the PAGCOR and DOT funds release are on-hold...maybe because of the BSCP/RAYA Senate Hearing Request?

Put Efren, Django, Ronnie, Alex and Orcollo in one room playing and take your pick of 5 of all the players in WTBC and put them in an adjacent room. Put up banners to tell everyone who is playing inside those rooms. Now, tell me, which room will be full of spectators?

So the WPA say's the money is there but still some forum members no better because there are some roumers.... when will they learn?

Do I have to wait for my money till after the tournament and when all players are paid?

I will let you know when Niels receive his check with 100.000$ :)

Roumer go's that Roy doesn't have the money and that all bets are off.... I have talked to a Pinoy that talked to a yank that knew a guy who said there was no money at Roy his account. He read it on a forum!

Yes Berry, you will have to wait till after the tournament to see if people get paid. That was the bet...
1. The World Ten Ball Championship will be cancelled
2. The World Ten Ball Championship will not have 400 000 $ in pricemoney as announced, and if it does, the money will not be paid in full to all players immidiately after the end of the tournament.

I am not interested in knowing when Niels receive his check, I am more interested in knowing if it bounce or not ;)

but I got a feeling that a Taiwanese will win it all, and it's definitely not Niels-Fei-Jen!

Found some info on coverage time here http://www.espnstar.com/tv-listings/region1/day2/ but somehow my eyes fail me on the other indicated TV coverage outfits. It's my understanding that live feed will be sent to ESPN Star from ABS-CBN Production, is this correct? Atanascio?

Can some other pairs of eyes help determine the TV coverage times?

ESPNStar Asia will air it live from 3 pm to 6:30 pm in some parts, in India, it will be aired from 12:30 pm to 4 pm.

You still have a fighting chance Roy. Complaints reaching us states that the referees didn't receive food and transportation allowance and haven't been paid for services rendered with no specified date of payment either.

"squeeky wheel gets the grease" seems to be what these referees are hoping for.
