Hy guys, what do you think? If most of the pros wouldn't be sponsored by predator, mezz, tiger, etc.. Would they play with LD shafts or would they back to solid standar maple shafts?
Thx.
I think most pros would still use LD shafts (for the reasons here), but some might prefer non-LD shafts (for the reasons here).Hy guys, what do you think? Interesting,I never heard that before.I assumed it was just a cuetec shaft that was tweaked to her liking.ThanksSome would some wouldn't. Ive met a few who love their LD shafts
And aren't sponsored. Iirc Allison used one for years on her cuetech
Even though she wasn't sponsored by them

You're probably right, in general. I'm sure most pros could play well with any cue or shaft (with a little "re-calibration"), so why not go for the cash?dave
your right to the bottom line no b.s. approach is what i respect about you
my 2 cents
professional pool players play pool to survive
if the money they get is less than the money they would earn with a different shaft
they would use the shaft that could earn them the most

problem is you will miss more balls with a smaller shaft than a 13mm tip. A long pro tapper will take care of that issue as well on a standard maple shaft. Meucci was the cue in the day, cue makers avoid this pro tapper because of warping issues!!also note: One can take a standard shaft and have it turned down to 11mm, put a new ferule on it, and it effectively becomes a ld shaft.
Radar, can you back up your claim that players miss more balls with a shaft that has <13mm tip diameter? I would be very surprised if there was any empirical evidence to support your assertion.
Thanks
