Would you call this great condition?

Ask yourself the same question. You know the answer.

i gave up my "swami, da mind reada" act many moons ago

is it possible that the cue isn't the buyers son birthday present and that was leverage to keep the cue and squeeze $$$, however, that thought never crossed my mind

PERHAPS he failed to see the damage, is that possible?

No it is not possible that someone that sells cues did not notice when he bought it, the damage.

I don’t want money, what I want is the cue in the condition the seller claimed it was in.

I’d be fine with sending it back and letting him get it fixed. A cue in “great condition” doesn’t need refinished by anyone’s standards.

Here is a comment left for the buyer (bowiebill) on eBay for a Motorola Atrix 4G - 16GB - Black (AT&T) Smartphone (#260968352548) that sold for $208.50:
"Little more "used" than described but functional and fast delivery."

there ya go:)

Let's be clear: the butt sleeve needs refinishing, correct?

What was the $170 number that was tossed around for?

To me this a great example between good customer service and excellent customer service.

If you went out for a special occasion, lets say an anniversary dinner, spent 3 hours, never get your food, obviously a full refund is in order. Offering one is good customer service by management.

An establishment that values its customers would go above and beyond and realize that they wasted their customers time, and act accordingly. 5 star places would not only offer a refund but would give some type of gift certificate for a future visit, when applicable and the situation calls for it

I don’t know why the final price was only 620. My max bid was much higher. But had I, and obviously the others that were bidding, had known the cue had damage, I would have bid less.

This just keeps getting better and better.

If this helps Greg, than good for him. I posted an honest accounting of what happened. He came here and continued his practice of being less than honest. I wish someone from here could just hold this cue. Most of the butt below the wrap feels like sandpaper.

I understand but I think you could have scored if you handled it differently.

SCAMMER ALERT! The OP aka nit/douche is trying to squeeze the seller for another $100.SCAMMER AND 5 Pinnochios.

I’m a firearms dealer but recently sold a new Beretta with a broken sear spring, this was a new weapon that didn’t function properly. I don’t test fire new weapons I sell so mistakes do happen in life and it’s how we choose to deal with them that matter. I could have said it’s under warranty send it to Beretta and they’ll deal with it but no I provided a new weapon and changed the 4473 forms to reflect the new serial number at no cost to the client and I sent in the weapon for repair. I believe Hillbilliards did everything and more to remedy the situation, it’s too bad no all people are as honest as he is.

ya'll calling him a nit/douche for this, damn none of you blokes ever worked in the hospitality industry I take it.
No reason to resort to name calling. If I was a seller I probably would have offered 10% or 20% off a future order if the customer was unhappy with a full refund, of course the seller should pay shipping, he said great condition and didn't take the time to look at the cue to accurately evaluate it as great.
Again the difference between good and excellent customer service.

The OP was offered a return with free return shipping. That is more than fair and the seller met his responsibilities. The OP is demanding that he keeps the cue and gets a hundred bucks back.He is a scammer and it has been mentioned that he has done this kind of thing before. The OP is the problem and would have been for ANY seller. He is every sellers nightmare!

EBAY/PAYPAL policy is that the BUYER is responsibility for SHIPPING EXPENSE in cases of returns due to items not being as described, so, the SELLER already has gone the extra mile by picking up the tab and his level of customer service is beyond reproach

For most people and most circumstances that is fair, although in my opinion that solution doesn't take into account the loss of time for sending the cue off to be refinished, and if he had sent it back to the seller does he get his refund instantaneous once he drops it in the mail?

Lets say you spent 3grand on gift for the wife's birthday, your last 3 grand till the next payday, seller screws up on listing, and you end up empty handed on her birthday because you have to wait for a refund to hit your account, or wait for a replacement.

Does a full refund + shipping really due the buyer justice, I personally think it is a case by case basis.

Anyways the seller screwed up up the listing, don't list a cue as great condition if you don't take the time to actually look over it to make sure it is in great condition.

Seller make a reasonable offer, but I would have gone the extra mile personally if I was the seller and offered a discount on a future order to keep him happy.

I always would cover shipping if I listed an item incorrectly, the customer shouldn't have to pay out of pocket because I messed up.

You would do this you would do that? How much experience do you have in selling cues? I've been doing this for 20 years, he magnified the hell out of a smudge in the butt sleeve and demanded money back and threatened me immediately with bad feedback if I don't do what he demands. I've dealt with cons like him before and aside from kissing their asses and doing what they command you to do they cannot be satisfied. What more could I do? I made a mistake and I was willing to fix it the only way I could. Not the way he demanded but the only way that was fair. And eBay totally agrees with me and the way it was handled. The negative feedback he left me was removed. He's got issues, issues that have nothing to do with me.

i went through a dispute which paypal ruled on last week

bought a cue which featured a "pin straight 29", 13mm shaft

i received a 11.25 mm shaft which was 30" long

the seller offered a refund which didn't include paypal vig

paypal ruled that i get a full refund but i had to pick up the tab on return shipping

funds should be in my paypal acct late this week

so far apprx 19 days and counting since i filed the dispute

TRUE, the seller accepted responsibility

Can you see the level of moral turpitude the buyer displayed by wanting $175 to refinish a butt sleeve
