Would you rather have 2 games

I'd take the 7 ball in this case - assuming the game is 9 ball or 10 ball.

I don't like getting weight. Play it straight up. If you are getting the 8 then take the two games on the wire.

Never been there, but when I make it over that way I'll look you up.

BTW, does the person you are eating to make this bet with play close to your speed?

Sounds like your opponent is one notch above you as a player. Two on the wire is probably best for you here.

Also depends on length of race
If it is race to 3, then 2 games sounds good
If it is race to 100, 2 games make peanuts difference
7 ball sounds good :D

Two good players take the games
as the 7 doesn;t mean much

two poor players the 7 might be huge

2 on 7 can be a pretty big spot if you're both run out players. Win the first game and the heat is ON. The 7 might be a bit of a better spot, just depends on the players and the table. On a tight table, take the 7ball.

Good players give up spots to set up a game they believe they can win.

I've seen guys willing to give up 14-4 or more in One Pocket. Usually they are just very good players who know they can outrun the big spot. But in some cases they are nefarious players who never post up and don't intend to pay off if they happen to lose.

Hopefully, you guys are just trying to equalize a game to make a small friendly bet. If that is the case, try it, see what happens. It there is serious money indvolved, I would walk away - somehow I doubt if you can win at the games you've been offered.
