I haven't posted in quite some time, but I saw something tonight that really didn't sit well with me, so I want to vent a little to somebody. I was in the pool room after a break of a couple months, when I looked over and saw this guy I know playing with the Joss cue I feel is one of the nicest Joss cues ever made...The one used in "The Color of Money" by Tom Cruise as "Vincent". He was playing with it for a little bit, miscued or something, and decided to shape his tip. Ok, that's fair enough because you need to keep up on your tip. He puts the shaper on the floor between his feet, turns the cue upside-down, and shapes his tip like he was a boyscout starting a campfire!
I HAD TO quit playing MY game and watch this sad display of cue care. I cried inside while seeing this, and had to turn away. Wouldn't it be nice if just people who were going to respect their equipment could buy nice cues? I know that could never be, but it would be nice that if someone was going to spend nice money on a nice cue, they would at least respect it. I have seen many nice cues treated badly, but this one hit home with me...OK, my rant is done...have a nice night! lol
