I recently just discovered an outstanding cue maker from up state New York named William Dominiak. He is the founder of his company "Dominiak Cues", and the founder of the Dominator II shaft. They are all hand made and hit like a dream.
The Dominator shafts are radial laminated and the wood goes through the ferrel and touches the back of tip. This enables you to become more one with the energy function transaction with your mind, muscle and the whole cue. In other words, it is very solid full felt hit. It hits a little like a predator except you can use no english better on certain shots and there is no compensation when aiming with inside english, its so easy.
The Dominator Shaft is the supreme upgraded next best thing out there. This product that this cue maker has is unbelievable. I highly recommend that these cues or shafts be given heavy attention, go out and get yourself one, I promise it will be worth it.
If you are interested in purchasing a Dominiak Custom Cue or a Dominator II shaft send me a private message or an email at BWSHUFF@HOTMAIL.COM. Price negotiations are available When contacting me. Check out the home website www.dominiakcues.com. I will put up a Feedback thread after the first few purchases so everyone can give the piece of mind. Thank you for checking out this Bio of Dominiak Cues and have a wonderful day.

His cues have been around here for a while. I have one that I bought from him around a year ago. I definately like the quality of the cue. Not to be difficult, but I am confused as to why we would not order them right off of his site.

I've got a sweet sixteen and love it. I ordered it from Mr. Dominiak's site and would highly recomend them. However, maybe i'm outta line but this post stinks of a lame a## infomercial.

Unfortunately for me I’m not above making a mistake. It Looks like Mr. Dominiak and ugotaction have a working relationship. I would not like my post to negatively affect their sales as I am a strong supporter of their product. As I said in my previous post I love my sweet sixteen and I highly recommend them.

probably he's a sales agent or just want to help out some people who are interested in buying and not yet aware of DOM cues !

It hits a little like a predator
Preds are hollowed and have soft ferrule.
Dominiaks are solid and have a rock hard melamine ferrules.
Why would you even compare the two's hit?
I thought Dominiak uses CNC to do inlays and cutting.
I did not know they were hand made.

well I used to use a predator a little while back and i can see the similarities. your right that it seems too far fetched to compare the two but they do hit a little alike. well, hit better than predator if you ask me.

I like his cues and have had a few. He had that spliced shaft at least 8 years ago. I didnt even notice it was a spliced shaft til someone pointed it out.

I saw his stuff at the SBE this year and i had planned to buy bit i found the designs were inferior to what he had in the past IMHO.

But the final turn-off this year was all the butts were spliced too. So the whole thing is spliced-Not for me. Ii want at least part of my stick to be semi-natural.

A couple of months ago Dominiak cues was looking for dealers to sell his cues. Billiardwarehouse.com sells them now. I am sure there are others. His cues are a great value even though he has raised prices just recently.

Ive never really heard any negative about his work. Plus ive been on the phone with him alot talking about his work in detail. i now play with a Dominiak and i am a player representative for Dominiak Cues. We have developed a good partnership so far.

if he could do something to help take off in the cue making industry what would you think it would be?

Although this isn't the Buy/Sell Forum, I have several brand new WD1020 cues that are available... no wrap... beautiful pieces of curly maple... 19.0 oz... and weight bolts to make the weight 18.5 oz... 12.6 mm pro taper shafts. I even have one available with an extra radially laminated shaft.

PM me if interested and we can discuss.

The sweet 16, wd1008, and the new wd1090 do have 8 piece radial construction butts, but none of the other models do. So, there is an option.

IMO the 8 piece butts give the cue a crisp hit - it feels awesome to me. I like the feedback it gives. It all comes down to preference.

Now you do.

My friend bought a Dominiak WD1020 during all the hypes around here awhile ago. I'm no expert but I can feel the ferrule is not flushed to the wood. It is very awkward. He stopped using it (not due to the ferrule, though) because it's too butt heavy, even more so than a McDermott.

It is a little butt heavy. Mine does not have the ferulle problem though. I think the overall craftmanship is very good for the price. The cue has a softer feel than what I like. The joint is wood to wood and the tip is too soft.

I bought this ebony/tulipwood Dominiak prototype in November- very nice quality, but it hits STIFF (Dominator shafts)- if I pick it up after playing with something else for a while, it takes a few racks to get used to it again.

I have liked his cues and part of the reason has been because I like no-wrap cues but I am in the minority. There is a bigger audience for cues with wraps. Some people consider no wrap cues almost a joke.
