WOW! Why is the forum so slow?

Ya, well it had to already be slow for the very first person that made the very first thread. I wonder if anyone is thinking about making a crank for the computers like the old 1920's cars?

I'm running FireFox and I installed the below add-ons, as recommended by Sev, and, so far, it's faster than Tony Drago playing a race to 1 against himself.

Try using Firefox
In the add-ons install
adblock Plus
Better Privacy
Browser protect
FasterFox
Ghostery


You can do similar in Opera.

AdBlock is your friend. But then if you want to support AZ, blocking their sponsors adds doesn't help. Everyone has to decide for themselves which path to take.

i have adblock enabled and disabled and it had no effect on the loading issues i have been experiencing on AZ

So how do I apply adblock?

If in Firefox, go to Tools, Add-ons. In the box that comes up, search for Adblock Plus, install it. That's pretty much all there is to it. It will pop up once showing you which list you were auto-subscribed to, usually Easy List or Fatboy's List.

I'm running Firefox and have been for a long time. I've noticed no dramatic changes in the speed of this forum lately... just the usual occasional hang.
