Wow

it's actually a 4-rail kick :D

I only call it a three-railer because he's not aiming the fourth rail. But it sure did help. LOL

Spot on the wall three rail kick just trying to make contact on an object ball sitting in a "big ball" position and get some lucky distance. Plus the Efren luck factor mixed in. It was dead. :)

Are you sure he was not aiming for the forth rail?

I have watched him in person numerous times warming up between rounds in a tourney.

He plays three cushion on a pool table.

Luck....he makes his own luck.

I have a guy on my team that thinks I am full of crap about "the spot on the wall" thing, even after explaining every 3C player in the world uses it. He watched a pool video where the guy touched on the diamond system and said that I only need to use spot on the wall because I do not understand the diamond system. He went on to explain to me that every table will have the same target area for a 3 rail shot because the diamond system is laid out with the same dimensions on all tables. I tried to explain that all tables play slightly different than one another, especially between different brands but he insists that I just need to watch his video and learn the diamond system.

Heck, even tables that are the same size play differently. Even the literal same table can play differently from day to day.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

There are videos on YouTube of him playing 3-cushion. Quality stuff. The guy is a savant or something.

I've made similar kicks in the past, and I'll tell you one thing. He was most assuredly trying to hit the fourth rail. The chance for making goes up along with the chance of a possible return safety if you miss. Hit the 1 without hitting that fourth rail and it's an almost sell out guaranteed.
No friggin way was that intentional.
Yes that safety was definitely intentional. I saw it as soon as the balls settled after the break. If you didn't see that safe as an option. You now just expanded your game.

I've played some 3-4 rail shots but I don't think I could have pulled this one off efren is one of the best ever

Google Efren Reyes/ Earl Strickland , Color of Money shot. I have the accu stat set. 9 ball, Efren is hooked and can not see the 7 ball. He plays a ful table double zig zag cut shot on the 7 and gets out! It is a shocker!
