Doesn't Europe have a women's pro tour?

You have to tail-hunt me in every thread?

I guess that if some people didn't have someone to fight with, why, they wouldn't have much to contribute to this forum...

No, Europe doesn't have a Women's tour. Instead we do like the Barbarian European's always does. We invade, and we are real good at it!

3 Europeans in top 5 on the WPBA ranking, and 2 Asians... :D Oh well, it's just a Mickey Mouse tour with mini-trophies anyway, right? :D

Uh, it's called "tail-gating." I did ask a legitimate question, but it seems that you are a little embarassed for expressing your discriminatory thoughts about non-Europeans. Guilt is a terrible thing.

Not really, but if it makes you feel good, then that's okay.

Interesting that 3 of the events are listed as tentative. I wonder if that's because the date is tentative or if it means that the event itself is tentative. Certainly does not bode well for the WPBA if they can't even lock down six events...

I am guessing that only the dates are tentative.

Was it 7 or 8 tournaments in 2007 and 2008?

I seem to remember that the pricemoney was less last season than previous seasons? Can anyone confirm that?

I put a thread about this up weeks ago. With six tour dates and all the new formats they installed over the last few years, now the top ten can't make a living anymore either. It's a shame but I'm sure their doing the best they can at this time. Johnnyt

You obviously haven't done your research, Roy. Check out WPBA.com and you'll learn that Monica Webb and Vivian Villareal, both American, are ranked fourth and fifth.

..and lets add that the reigning WPBA National Champion, Monica Webb, is American

I thought that "2008 player stats" was the data from the ranking, but I was obviously wrong.

I still can't find the player ranking, but as long as you say that there is a ranking different from this one, I believe you. Can you please share the link?

EDIT: Found it... http://www.wpba.com/cms/?pid=1000261

When SJM said I was wrong, then I knew I was, and I thought there was no point in saying it too. If there is anything SJM doesn't know about WPBA it isn't worth knowing! ;)

Well, if you read my post I said "I was obviously wrong". I didn't even have to see the evidence, I understood it was wrong as soon as SJM pointed it out...

Banning Jasmin for the reason they used is dumb. Jasmin is one of the best spectator draws on the WPBA and i'm one of Jasmin's fans.

Banning Jasmin for breaking the rules and ignoring a mandate that was made months before the event took place is dumb? Not sure I follow the logic there. If you don't punish her, there's no reason to have rules at all. Jasmin knew she was gonna get spanked and she did it anyway. Then she skipped the championships even though she was told that she could participate while her suspension was being reviewed just to give a further FU to the WPBA.

No one is a winner when it comes to this situation.

There may be more lucrative events for Jazz outside of the WPBA - I'm sure she will get invites to more non - WPBA events. I thought the WPBA was under new leadership in the last year or two and this was to facilitate growth.

I love the WPBA and have only missed 3 tournaments since 2004. Jasmine is a unique talent but the lunacy of penalizing her for mssing a tournament thus depriving that tournament audience of watchig her play by punishing the two following tournament spectators that privilege is nutty in this old fart's opinion. This humble fan thinks her world class talent should be encouraged by the WPBA and promoted at the many WPBA tournaments she participates. With the ranking system as I understand it, I will be ranked higher than Jasmine as she will receive no points for 2 tournaments as I understand the rankings. This years 3rd tournament will have Jasmine ranked last after competing successfully against all comers in the world as she will have no points for her 2 penalty tournaments; strange logic.

I suspect that a more reasonable penalty for Jasmine may be discussed to permit Jazz to play in all the tournaments. MAY I SUGGEST HAVING DINNER WITH ME AT EACH OF THE FIRST TWO TOURNAMENTS AS SUFFICIENT PUNISHMENT?)

Hopefully this issue will be reviewed by the board members and a more prudent "penalty" could be imposed. If my punishment suggestion is accepted, Liene can join Jazz and I devouring some food and then the ultimste punishment, dancing with the Petard!!!!!

Ladies and Mike, I am a huge fan and will be there for all the tournaments as I enjoy the fine ladies of the WPBA; please don't resent my thoughts as I mean well.

The big fart

Roy - will Norwegian Team 147.no be sponsoring WPBA qualifiers in 2009 as they did in 2008 for those European women who may want to qualify for the WPBA so they don't have to travel to the US in order to play in a qualifier? - Jackson
