WPBA Buckets????

This is not accurate. The tables were tight at WPBA San Diego, although it is true that the TV table always plays slightly easier than those used during the week. I'm told that this is, at least in part, attributable to the huge amount of heat given off by the many bright lights used by ESPN, creating dry conditions and rails that play on the soft side.

I was at Derby City and I was at WPBA San Diego, in each case for the length of the event. Anyone who thinks the equipment at Derby City was tougher than at WPBA San Diego is mistaken.

I still agree! I went down on the floor and measured them. Four and a half inch openings. Stiff facings too. This is the standard on their tour now. The GCV's play great! Maybe the best Crown yet! I keep trying to tell you how good the top women play. Good enough to beat any man on a given day. And they're getting better!

The last nine ball combination that Monica Webb made, was not made on a tight table.

Pockets are 4.5". Play snug as well. It is the same table we play all week in the tourn. No new cloth either. It is pretty broken in by Sunday and playing well. Able to take spin better. However my table at home has 4", anyone like to try it out? I'm looking for some "practice". M<+

Classy move to post up here...those three shots in a row were top notch...

No thanks on the 4 inch pockets, my game is bad enough already :D

Mon, are you in Charlotte?

I didn't notice the pockets as I was enjoying the quality of the production!

Steve and the gang really have stepped up to high class stuff.

Now, if only the Party Poker...what is that group that does the Mosconi Cup productions?---if only these guys would show pool as the WPBA does, then I could actually watch more than 30 seconds without wanting to punch the screen!

That runout with the jumps that Monica did was nice....real nice.

I agree with Jay. I'm no great expert, but that was the most impressed I've ever been watching women's pool. She just stepped up confidently and made 3 world class shots in a row (jump, jump, long tough combo), and followed that up with a touchy spin shot on the 6 that would have been the tough shot in some other runout.
