Well, I'm in FL and some of you guys have requested updates...so I'm giving them to you. :) I really do not have much to report. I went to the ProAm, but was unable to participate. :( I took some REALLY bad pictures, but the file sizes are to large to upload...I will look around for a web hosting site to put them up that way, but they are REALLY bad!!! I talked to a few people to find out who they were playing, but I fail to recall (I'm worthless, huh?), but have no fear because the WPBA is on the ball with the brackets!! :) Well, hopefully I will be better tomorrow...let the games begin!!

Ok hope this works...I know the formating is pretty bad...hopefully things will get better.

Here are REALLY bad photos of Sarah Rousey and Melissa Herndon playing in the ProAm. Hope you get some enjoyment out of it...even if it is to just laugh at my photo taking/posting abilities. :D

Hey, Landshark, hope you have a grand old time at WPBA Florida.

Other than reporting on the memorable matxches and moments, I would like to make a suggestion on how you can keep the forum advised of the play.

Obviously, I don't know whether you are the type that stays up until the end of each evenng session, but if you are:

Thursday night: post who the last sixteen on the winner's side are
Friday night: post who's left on winner's side and who's left on loser's side.
Saturday night: post who's still in the tournament and what the Sunday matchups are

Remember, Landshark, this is not a request, just a suggestion. First and foremost, make sure you have a blast at the event!

Landshark, thanks for the update! Very much appreciated. :)

If you have Windows XP operating system on your computer, the pixels can be reduced fairly easily, which should help you in sharing those photos with us. Pull up the .jpeg file in the Paint application. Then click on the Images button located at the top. Click on the second option in the drop-down box which is Stretch/Skew. Reduce the Horizontal and Vertical from 100 to 25. The .jpeg file will reduce the size of the photo and will be easier to download.

Good luck to all, and I look forward to reading more info when it becomes available!

SJM, I very much appreciate your suggestion and I will try my best to keep everyone updated. Your advice was fantastic!

JAM thanx for the photo tips. I will try that tomorrow. :) My camera is 4 mega pixels and I tend not to use the smaller quality settings. In case that doesn't work I also plan to take some lower resolution photos so the formatting of the treads is better. :)

Updates would be much appreciated Lanshark, good luck to the girls too hopefully I'll be watching them all on TV after this event.

Ok scores thus far:

Ming Ng 9
Susie Quall 3

Ramona Biddle 9
Caroline Pao 2

Susan Mello 9
Sarah Rousey 8

When I left Jenn Barretta had 8 and Val Finnie had 7.

Melissa Herdon plays at 1:15 and Lisa Brannen has just begun her match.

More later.

Sounds like a tough loss for Sarah :(

Yeah Sniper, but it went hill hill. The last game Sarah scratched on the 7 (I think). I didn't have the best view at the time as I was trying to gather some scores for you folks, but it looked like a very difficult cut on the 7 to the corner or a saftey gone wrong. Either way old witey ende up in the oposite corner pocket. Susan Mello ran the last 3 balls. :( Sarah will get 'em on the one loss side.

I was also wrong with my Kim Shaw scores. Kim LOST 6-9, so my bad for the mis-info. I think I may have messed up on the Biddle/Pao match too. I think the brackets reported Pao as winning. So really I am worthless as far as informing you folks of the happenings.

Jenn Barretta won over Val.

Ewa Lawrance lost to Miyuki Sakal.

Melissa Herndon is still playing...I don't remember the score right now.

More RELIEABLE info tonight...promise.

Thanks Landshark77, DennyS just asked me if you have posted any info yet. I will update him from your updates. We appreciate your pics and updates!!!!!!!!!

Thanx SJM, but I do tend to get distracted as I forgot to write down the 16 people who are left on the winners side. :( However, the WPBA seems to be on the ball with the brackets, so I'll see what I can do about updating you guys on the one loss side. I'm going on memory though, so keep that in mind.

Lots of first round upsets too this tourney...who knows what the single elem will hold.

Here goes:

Kelly Fisher won.
Sarah Rousey won 9-7 (I think)
Stacey Hurst beat Ewa.

Eh, turns out that is all I know for sure. :(

I know, I know...it sounds like I'm not even at the tourney, huh?
Well to prove that I am here is a picture of me and Sarah Rousey (Drivermaker...go take a cold shower...I told you I was hot!!! :D)

And as it turns out, I suck at action shot photos...so unless I can find a good one there will be none to post! :(

How do u get that T-shirt?

I will leave on Sunday morning but I am thinking about changing my flight.

You are not useless, please do not say that about yourself. I can do the updates for you if you want.

Thanks, Landshark77! Love hearing those updates! :)

How's Amanda Pasko doing? She's a local player in my area, and we all wish her well on his first WPBA event!

Keep those updates coming! That's what makes AzBilliards Discussion Forum fun, thanks to folks like you, Landshark77! You camera must be behaving now because the picture of you and Sarah is GREAT! :)

I saw Miyuki Sakai compete in a regional tournament in Richmond, and she won a Canadian qualifier for coming in first place. She must have played really well to defeat Ewa Laurence.

Here's a picture of Miyuki below [pronounced me-you-key] :p
