Tourney time again! I was hoping anyone with a contact or that is in Indy could post some updates here. Thanx. Hopefully the brackets will be squared away soon. We have a few hours to go before the draw, LOL! (Yeah, I'm always too far ahead! :eek: )

I hope Wendy does well in her first WPBA event, with the talent she has Wendy should have no problem earning her pro-status.
 
Well Wendy Jans has an easy draw in the first round, she will play Jeanette Lee :D

Other matches i do not know, because the brackets are not yet online.

Looks like the toughest 1st round match will be Lee-Jans!

I would say Julie Kelly & Kelly Fisher got the toughest 1st round draw. I also agree that Lee should beat Wendy on paper. But one never knows in one race what can happen.Looks like Allision is the fav as usual,but I will take Lee to win it all. Corr should be right there too.

There are lots of great matches in the first round. The 3 other matches that caught my eye were Rachael Abbink Vs Melissa Little, July Kelly Vs Kelly Fisher (I'd love to see that one), and Jenn Barretta Vs Jeri Engh. I think Wendy Jans will give Jeanette a tough match. It's a great field with many great players. Call me crazy, but looking at the brackets, I think Melissa Herndon has a real good chance to advance well into the later rounds in this tournament. I spoke with Karen Corr last week and she said she was breaking the balls extremely well. I think this is Karen's tournament. She sounds very confident, and that's a dangerous thing for everybody else.

You could be right. Looking at the bracket layout it looks like Karen has a slightly easier bracket to move thru than Allison; and the middle brackets look "real tough".But Helena and Tiffany will probably be going out of their way to make things difficult for Karen! :D
Think I'm going with Webb,Barretta,Hofstatter or Thornfeldt to take it all!! :D

Good luck to Kelly Fisher ! I think this may be the tournament she really arrives with all guns blazing. If I were at the venue I wouldn't miss her first round match for the world.

Terry thanx for the bracket link...glad to see they are up. :)

My first round picks are VERY similar to yours, however I think Hines can take Menerich easy. I also think Rhee stands a good chance, as well as Mello (OMG...did I say that??) Plus I know Little has Abbink. Sakai has Calhoun, Finnie has Grecar....the rest are the same. I also wanted to note that I think Paglia can snap off Armstrong, BUT I am glad to see Armstrong playing...you go girl.

I hope we have another shot a V-Bookie Mike!!!!

I predict Rousey and Herndon to go far. :D
