WPBA....still alive, or just barely?

i just said that not many of the womenplay well enough to do that.
in fact not many men do either.
its tough to make money on the road.

They just need to play 1hole and get a 18-4 spot.

If a sport lacks the interest to support a mens tour then it is a pretty tough grind to try and get it to support a womens tour.

By the sounds of it, its very expensive for the women to play in the WPBA and the top few always win the cash. With hotels, food, entry, and travel I wouldn't be surprised if they cant fill spots.

I'm just saying that if a WPBA woman came to my pool room, I might gamble cheap with her even if I don't have a chance of beating her.

And then she'd get free drinks and food. And she might even get someone to pay for her room.

So it would basically be travelling for free.

I know you need to play real good to make it on the road. But maybe if your a woman you don't need to play as good. And it would help if she was young and hot :thumbup:

i been on the road and know how well you have to
play to make money.
a few a the girls play well enough to make money.
im not saying that there are not many girls who play well
cause there are.
but to make money on the road its real tough.
people are tight now days so you really have to play well.

Sorry - I'm no messenger. I only wanted to point out that they do answer some emails.

Well, I guess that answers the question anyway. The WPBA office answers some questions but refuses to answer any questions or give out any information about the status of their New "Fan Membership Program". Strange, huh? Even stranger, is that for sure some of the members of the WPBA read some of these posts about the membership program but not one has said anything. Has the WPBA leadership put a ban on any WPBA member making any comments on the Fan Membership Program? Just wondering.

I agree with Bart. Put the ladies with the men and 90% of them end up being amateurs. There is nothing wrong with the truth.

Put them together like they did with Billy Jean King and the older gentleman she played against, old whathisdoodle, that was a hoot. ESPN of course. Be great for pool. Maybe one of those cute young orientals against some older fellow close to retiring, EFREN. Pay them both big money, does not matter who wins, it would be great for pool.
