Hello all,
Here is a really nice Ernie Martinez cue priced for a quick sale -SOLD-.
Butt is a six point wrapless cue with silver ringwork at all positions and is in great condition (95% only because you can feel the recuts slightly). The 3 high points are Cocobolo w/maple & cocobolo recuts; the shorter points are a solid piece of some kind of rosewood (not sure, sorry). The handle is a solid piece of whatever rosewood is in the short points (it could be a different shade of cocobolo but again, not sure). The buttsleeve is the same dark cocobolo as the long points. The joint is flat-faced w/Ernie's 3/8-12 pin he makes himself & the buttcap & bumper have Ernie's unique pattern. The butt weighs 14.84 oz w/o a weight bolt, but is threaded to accept one so weight can be added, not removed.
Shaft 1 is 3.595 oz & is 12.73mm just below the tip. Straight
Shaft 2 is 3.215 oz & is 12.75mm just below the tip. Straight
If you've never hit with an Ernie Martinez cue, it does not hit stiff, it has a lot of feel and moves the cue ball effortlessly. Both shafts play almost identically even though there is a slight weight difference. I played w/both shafts for about 15 min each and I like them both.
Sold. This is way below what Ernie would charge.
Here are the pics I took this evening when it was threatening to rain (you might even see a couple small drops) - I know I could do better if needed. Thanks for looking.
Dave
