Yeah!? but I was playing in a major event with a bunch of kids that could barely play. I had a good shot at a bunch of money, thats all. Now I'm back to you guys....geez. =)

Well, luck factors in only after the event between who's ahead and who's behind. The guy who's behind coming out ahead is the lucky guy.

When you have an under-set and you get out in a major event, you have a horseshoe around your kidney.

I was crippled because I shoved a goofballs raise and he had aces. After another 4 confrontations I was chip leader. I am a starving pool player so I had to play good. Anyways, I had chips still after the one outer....imagine that. It was a massive pot, I almost flipped the table over, but I decided to cry instead.

I had one bullet left with 55 and shoved cutoffs open and couldn't fill up against his A9.

So I played good but got really unlucky. As unlucky as you can get. But that doesn't matter, these tournament players have it all down to a science, it's so hard to beat them, even if you play jam up. Just my thoughts. :smile:

Could somebody repost this in standard english? I understand about half of it and it seems like a really interesting story.

Oh. That was a lot shorter story the second time around. Weird.

I don't play poker 'cause I gamble ALmost as well as I dog the 8. :joyful:
 
I last played in 2004, played in 12 events and won,

168,000, The highlight was the main event, I placed in 82nd place. This is the year Moneymaker won, the previous 6 years, I played every year. Total invested, $110,000, over 6 years and I won a total of, $212,000------100,000 profit divided by 6 years makes about 15k per year, not bad but definetly not a living.
But, I have had fun,
Waiting to get healthy again to play again, the last 4 years I've had major medical problems, so I am waiting to get back, healthy and ready to crack pocket aces''''
