WTB Stuff that will make me better at pool

Start playing for some cash. It doesn't
have to be a lot of money, but I guarantee
you will become more focused if you have
something to lose, rather than just playing
with some buddies just to pass the time.
 
Get married to a woman you do not like... That will give ya' lots of time in the pool hall!!!!

i am a fan of some of the pool IQ videos,
TIME is the big one and patience

Looks good, actually. Any other suggestions for any videos/aids? For sure, I was being a little facetious and I know that practice is the only way to get where I want (with "where I want" is being good enough to actually use the For Sale forum to buy one of these sweet looking cues without feeling silly :wink: )
 
Lessons, training videos and table time are what it takes. Play against people who play stronger then you (offer to play for table time) and pay attention. Also find a cue that you just can't miss with. Finding the right cue DOES make a big difference, regardless of what some folks will tell you, unless you have some sick natural talent, but if that were the case, you wouldn't have posted something like this....
 
To get better you need a lot of quality time on the pool table. To do that you need time and for most of us with busy lives time is hard to come by.... until now. Get lessons.

Get some good DVD's. Little Joe Villapando's are great www.pooliq.net

Practice with goals to meet daily and keep a log of what you do.

Be patient and develop a repeatable smooth stroke.

Practice each lesson until you can do them in your sleep.:wink:

If you are really serious about your game and practice get the Ipat DVD and workbook system. That will put you in stroke in a hearbeat! Let me know you're interested.
