:o I'm looking for a tad cue that is styled like the old harvey martin's. I saw it once on ebay and I still kick myself for not buying it all those years ago. It had an ivory joint and ivory butt cap with a brown ring around the top of the butt cap. Brown leather wrap. brown collars on the shafts but no collar below the ivory joint. Looked just like a classic harvey martin cue. If anyone has this cue please email me at forrestleesutton@yahoo.com or post here. Or if you have pics of it pics send my way. Thanks

I seen one too!

I saw it I believe about 5 months ago on ebay as well. It was a no wrap all maple tad pole. The owner stated that the butt had a slight roll to it. It sold for 500.00 buy it now!!! Shoulda coulda woulda. Damn did I miss out...

Tad Martin style

Wow.. $500 is a steal! Last one I saw was something like $1100 on Chalkers.com.

not sure the design

Hey I am not sure of the design you are looking for, but here are two of my Tads, let me know. ( See icon on the left)

The tad i'm looking for look exactly like a harvey martin cue. birdeyes maple forearm and sleeve, white delrin or ivory buttcap, ivory joint, brown leather wrap or cork wrap. Red linen collar on the shaft only. It's my holy grail cue. I've tried and tried but TAD will not make a custom cue anymore which is disappointing. :(

Hey zatoichi, what ever happened to the B.S. shafts that you said you had for sale and never responded to anyones posts to you.
FSutton, I would not put too much stock in what this guy has to say. Bob C.

I have seen a similar cue at Hard Times. The one I saw was a post-1983's cue because it has the TAD logo on the butt cap. I believe what looked like a flat faced 3/8x10 joint, but the joint collar was not ivory. I do not know what material was used.

It's about a 1.5 to 2K cue tops. Here's the last one I remember seeing:

Did Joe ever sell his cue? If he didn't, that would be the perfect opportunity. And if he did, why not try hunting down the current owner and make an offer? If it is your holy grail, I'm sure its worth a shot. Beautiful cue from the pictures that were posted. If I had the opportunity, I would love to own one.

Joe's Tad was a beauty with a fresh refinish by Ernie Gutierrez. Joe did sell his cue, for right around 2K.

Try Bill over @ Cornerstone ! I remember him buying three cues from one gentleman a sneaky McDaniels, a sneaky Prewitt and I believe a Tad like what your looking for was third ! Hope this helps.
