According to what I've learned, all Darrin's pins start as 3/8 x 10 but then are slightly tapered. I sent Darrin another email asking for input. If you don't mind, I'm going to give him a day or two to respond.

and here's another bump for this awesome cue and great AZer. I've owned a few hills and this one has always been my favorite. The balance is just awesome and the shaft fits onto the pin so snug yet very clean. Someone is going to end up with a real keeper here.
 
3/8-10 radial style pitch, i custom make ,atlas standerd tap for jp's . 0 tap for shafts drill 19/64 . 5/16 or bigger for jp's ,hope this helps. hill

Will standard 3/8-10 shafts (such as OB-1, 314, or Z2) fit your cues?
 
yes,yes,yes thay will. i just took the 3/8-10 pin to the next level,sometimes i have to run the tap in them once, good to go......hill
