Yang vs. Orcullo

No problem Richard. I may have made a little too good of a line. The smart money guys jumped all over me. Well, I'm only in for a G whiz. I have to hope my man catches his high gear.

My first sweat bet from 7,000 miles away. It will give us all something to talk about for the next few days. The match starts tonite at 11PM West Coast time (2PM in Manila).

Thank you Jay and Good Luck. Johnnyt

How about a little luck to the guys that bet against Jay (and Dennis) ;)

Good luck to you too!

I know Efren doesn't play well in front of the hometown crowd, lots of
distractions I guess. He's into chess, cockfighting, horseracing, mahjjong,
cards and late night drinking sprees even though he doesn't drink that much.
Add the numerous invites he usually gets from everybody, but I'm sure Dennis
is no Efren though.

Dennis is a different animal when it comes to money games. He bears down
harder when he sees the finish line is close...

Jay,

Someone correct me if I am wrong but if it is 2 pm in Manila (I thought it was 3 pm?) then it will be 2 am tomorrow morning in the US east coast and 5 am in the west coast. I live in the east coast and we are 3 hours ahead of the west.

The w Coast is behind the E Coast in time as you know so when it's 2AM here (EC), it is 11PM there (the day before).

Am i nuts?

You're right f210, Jay's just too busy counting all the chickens before they
hatch!

Hi Shane,

I did not really understand the bet, or I would have bet myself. Now, it is too late... unless if you would let me cut in on your action...:D

Hi Jay and everyone!
I just joined the AZ Forum, and Jay's staking $1,000 in the Yang-Orcullo match caught my interest. The response to his offer was quick.
Personally, I'm with Jay on this one. Saw Orcullo play day before yesterday against newly crowned Philippine champion Lee Van Corteza. Dennis hardly missed a shot in the race to 23 match, which he won handily. But it was a game of 10-ball.
For the info of everyone, we have a website here in Manila called "poolphilippines.com" that will do regular reports on the match, perhaps even a blow-by-blow in its forum. Check it out for updates.

No, you are correct.

No, you are correct.

You are right. I was wrong about the time difference between the west and east coast. However, the match will start at 3 pm over there not 2 pm. So it will start at 12 midnight tonight in the west coast and 3 am tomorrow morning in the east coast. It is supposed to last for 5 hours or less depending on their scores so that is 12 midnight to 5 am, west coast and 3 am to 8 am east coast.

Hope we can get live score updates and live play updates when the game is shown on a delayed basis on Philippine television.

K town there is a website listed a couple pages back that is going to have live updates maybe not so live updates but I don't think any tv channels that we can pull to watch the action, I'm off work so maybe Jay can fly us over there to watch the match on a chartered plane using his winnings in advance. How bout that Jay---Leonard
