Tang is super tough he finds a way to win, Shane plays Great, that would have been a better match than Cory was thats for sure, I like both guys alot so I wouldnt have any action, I wish Tang was in top form. I know he would get more than 70 today if they played-he knows how to win.

Drew said:Somehow I think 10-ball was Corey's edge in the match. You guys don't think Shane can break a 9-ball rack?? 10-ball is supposed to tame the mighty break but it obviously didn't work.
smashmouth said:lmfao, he just made him his b*&^&tch at 10 ball, but 9 ball would have been different right? lol
If you really believe Tang can beat Corey, you sir can bust me and basically all of Ohio. Since everybody thinks Shane is better than Corey, why dont you guys put him in playing Corey in 9 ball, same format. I didnt think so. So lets all just slow down in annointing Shane the best player in the world. He played great. He smashed Corey. If he beats Corey at 9 ball, then I will be the first to congratulate him and pay.Fatboy said:When Tang was playing his best pool, watching him and Shane play 10B would be great, wow. orcullo killed himself experimenting with his break on that matchSprite said:When before Orcollo vs Yang match, most people said Orc will win. But what happen when race to 60?
jamesroberts said:shane doesnt break 9 ball like corey ......i think everyone would agree shane has one of the best 10 ball breaks goin........even more so if the table breaks good...........honestly i think shane just had a couple good days and corey had a couple bad days.....nothin more nothin less

Craig said:correct me if Im wrong but seems like back when Cory was winning all the time in 9-ball was when he had the soft break going.
and nobody wanted no part of him, then all tournament promoters change their rules to no soft breaking-so many balls had to go past the side pockets I think really dont remember all I know it just worked for him, because Cory was torturing people in tournaments, Earl walked out of a tournament because Cory was BBQing his ass in one of the last Camel Pro Tour tournaments.

And the break IS at the very least a huge factor in 9-ball and 10-ball, since you can keep control of the table by making balls, and at the high level most everyone can run out from almost anywhere. So yes, it can make a very substantial difference in the games won.
Are you people certain that Corey in dead stroke could not put on a show like Shane did? I'm sure not certain of that. I'm not taking anything away from what Shane accomplished - he clearly is a world-class player now and played excellent pool. But you have to take far more matches into account (and other games) to say that some player is better than another, or that some player's (i.e. Corey) time is over. For example, Efren has proven over and over that he is the best one-pocket player in the world, and Earl proved in his prime that he was the best 9-baller. But it's naive to make these bold claims about Corey based on this one match. Just like it would be naive to claim that Yang is definitely the best player and Orcullo's time is over based on their race to 60 match.
