You have got to see this guy, unblievable!

I dont know Neil from a hole in the wall. Never read any of his posts, until this one. Mindblowing shots, the U.S. painting guy was amazing, and all of a sudden Neil writes a 1 and a half paragraph about poor him and his untapped potential. So Blackballed, you tell me what does this have to do with this post????
Maybe you need to go back and re-read the post you are talking about. Obviously you didn't get my point. Which was, if I can make some great shots, surely the pros can do them much more regularly. That being the case, with videos like this out there now, maybe, just maybe, some of the pros will start reaching into the impossible shot range. And if they do, maybe the game will evolve into much more than it is today.

Much like it changed dramatically when Efren came over and introduced kicking to the Americans.

This guy is supernatural not of this world..thanks for posting the links..Happy New Year..:)

So you're kind of on par with Semih, Blohmdahl, Reyes, etc. I got your m.o. Your practically a pro with your occasionally "astonishing" shots. Get over yourself

I started playing 3 cushion a couple of years ago and I actually like it more than pool. The balls are bigger and heavier so some of the really crazy stuff cant cross over to the pool table but as far as basic understanding of diamond position play you can play pool for years and never grasp some shots that are meat and potatoes stuff in 3 cushion.

The thing about semih that sets him apart is even in tourney play he will shoot some of those crazy shots for the sake of the fans.

DCC is going to be cool cause of the billiard tournament going on at the same time across the street, best of both worlds if you know what i mean.

WOW! You think that because someone occasionally makes an excetional shot that they are almost a pro! Amazing! Just amazing! Here for months several posters have been looking for the key to great pool, and all along our new little troll had it!

Got news for you, this is a pool forum. There are whole threads devoted to what people can do on a pool table. There are even posters on here that actually have videos up on u-tube! And you get all bent out of shape because I said I have made a few good shots? Boy, are you in for a surprise if you last around here.

he puts silicone on the table or cueball or both.ask charlie williams he told me they had semih do a exibition in asia and he went to the auto parts store to get silicone spray.thats the only way you can get the conditions to be that slick.you still have to play unreal to do the things hes doing.hes awesome i think
I saw an exhibition tape of his from a few years ago-- I believe at one of Sang Lee's tournaments. On some of the totally outrageous shots, he used hair spray or some other element on the cueball. However, he made some very amazing shots with a natural CB. I don't know if he used the spray on the posted Youtube video or not. My guess is that he may have. Regardless-- he's still incredibly talented.

Remember when the leather tip was invented and people thought the guy was using dark arts to make the cue ball curve? Imagine if Semih had been there.
They would have resorted to bloodletting to make the craziness stop...

You are a full fledged pro. I made great shots in my day. I DON'T BRAG. I am not a great player. I strung 6 racks of 9 ball, no 9s on break, straight high run is 62. I DONT BRAG OR COMPARE MYSELF TO PROS......I'm done with you. Good luck

Reading this thread is like being in the Marx brother movie. Whose the nut job who thinks he's so special and cute while the rest of the movie is going on? Any moment I expect Chico to come in with a song or Harpo to start honking his horn.
Semih is in a class by himself having won many 3 cushion titles. Having beaten Blohmdahl, Jaspers, Ceulemans, Lee, etc. He is also a great teacher and mentor of many Turkish players. One of the worlds great ambassadors of the game.
Why are you comparing yourself to him? Why are you talking about you and your local league and how you are so misunderstood by those in it? Not too many can say they are in the same league with Semih. Trying to covet this thread with your self importance is like I said as funny as a Marx brothers movie.

A voice of reason! This thread was how amazing Sayinger is but someone turned it into how great he himself is. Thats all I was pointing out. Make a thread about how great you are--don't turn an awesome video post into how you are close to these pros.

got me some popped corn and a fuzzy blankie......watchin the magic show ..................................semih is the man

Maybe I'm wording it wrong. I'm NOT comparing myself to him at all. I'm trying to say that I, at my low level have made great shots to save a game, but you never see the pros try them. (except Efren on occasion). With that in mind- that they are possible, and with Sayinger now having these videos out for all to see, maybe, and hopefully, some of the pros will pick up on it and start practicing some of the masse shots to use in their 9 ball games.

Right now they say that they are too low a percentage. Just like they used to say about kicks before Efren showed them differently. It would really enhance the game if they started using some of the shots that they currently call off-limits.

But perhaps someone might take offence to you placing the balls in just the right position and spraying the cloth and cue ball with proscribed substances before taking 6 goes to get it right.

There's a reason they're called trick shots.

True, some of them are 'rigged' for better performance. But there is still a whole realm of masse shots available that the pros never use because they never practice them.

Eric Yow posts on here. I would love to hear his opinion on the practicality of using masses in 9 ball. I just don't understand why the pros give up ball in hand on a 4 or 5 rail kick attempt, when they could have gotten a hit with a masse shot. They don't even seem to think of it.

Stop the 'poor me, but secretly I can hang with the pros and make these incredible shots' attitude. Yoy see, I'm not the only one who called you out. Next time you log in, leave your ego at the door.

Almost (that being the operative word) as impressive as his skill is the sheer imagination it takes to come up with some of those shots.

Nice avatar...I hate seeing all these 17 year old punk kids wearing his shirts and not knowing who he was, "a hero who stood up for the masses" when in reality he was just a cold blooded murderer

Now why are you bringing this "murderer" thing up in a Semih post. Creat your own post if you want to talk politics. I wont go into a discussion about Che here but you are doing the same idiotic thing as Neil.
Neil who are you to talk about what the pros have done and not done. Have you ever seen Rafael Martinez use Masse shots and Masse jump shots in one pocket? Have you ever seen Shane Van B take a circuitous route to get better shape instead of cinching the ball and taking the long shot? Have you ever seen Ronnie Allen when he was young kicking and banking 2 to 3 balls at once in an aggressive move towards his hole.
I dont understand how you can say what you say unless you are really living under some rock and sheltered from the world out there. Check out Chohan when he runs eight and out with every trick in the book or a Neil Feijin run rack after rack of nine ball using the jump stick like a magic wand.
You sound too caught up in your own game and the people around you. Your view is really limited and your response is such that we suspect you as someone who is small in scope and experience or sees the world emanating from you instead of to you.
Every pro Ive seen in action has used some device or other to get out. Are you stupid or just have some neurological insufficiecy like mental retardation. I ask this cause if you consider yourself to be a good pool player which I assume you are you would notice these things. Every Filipino action player Ive see, and Ive seen all of them in action, uses the masse or the jump or the kick or extreme english or something to me would be indescribable as to get their rock to where they want it. Have you seen Bugs, Cecil, Cannonball, Trueman, play? Man they can bank a bank that will make you crazy.
Think before you talk man. Get out of your little world getting the 8 ball from someone no ones heard of and read a book. Watch some videos. Take a look at some Accustats or TAR or Billiard Network stuff. Pros have been doing what you have newly discovered. Jeez!!

i normally dont care for trick shot videos but that was great. does he play 3 cushion competitions to?

Wasn't this the guy who put Mike Massey and Tom Rossman to shame in a trick shot exhibition on TV not too long ago?

Bob Jewett was a judge on TV during the match.

I think JimS said it best. "Mesmerizing."

I had the pleasure of watching him on ESPN earlier this year in an artistic pool event hosted by Mike Massey. A panel of judges including Jeanette Lee awarded Semih a points victory over Mike Massey [who did quite well], and Semih was a gracious winner praising Mike immensely.

Semih is a real class guy and one funny dude. A true ambassador for the sport.

I do have to take issue with one thing in the video. He's got two gorgeous Turkish women lying horizontal and all he can think of doing is stroking balls?!

Plop, plop, fizz, fizz... :D
